Beloved readers, I am going to wax some serious poetic about the packaging of this product. The BEST I have experienced PERIOD.

Before I do, I must preface my review of the actual product itself, with the fact that this product has changed its ingredients MULTIPLE times over the last few years.

The Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor you may have used in the past, may not be what I am reviewing.

Or it may…check the ingredients listed at the bottom of my review. I put them at the bottom of my reviews to aid you in recognizing formulations your hair likes, avoid ingredients you know your hair does not like and so you can compare what I’m talking about to what you may have bought.

I have used two other Aussie products before. One was an absolute FAIL and the other was a rather pleasant experience.

This turned out to be midway between the two. I won’t repurchase this, as I’ve had far better, but it is in fact, a decent quality product. Before I explain that rather odd sounding collection of sentences…we must return to the packaging of this.

PERFECTION. DESIGN TEAM I COMMEND YOU.

That typed and read: Your color scheme, graphics, layout and font choice are an EPIC FAIL. It looks like something out of the 90s.

However, your bottle design is FLAWLESS. Why? It’s inverted, it has grips on the sides to aid in squeezing it while showering. It’s made of firm, yet very flexible plastic so I get every drop without spraining my wrist. Better still, the FANTASTICIAL opening that requires no cap, not even a push tab; yet, keeps the product in without letting it drip ALSO lets me get out every drop! Shangri-la!

Can you tell I am a packaging afficionada yet? ^_^

That done, onto the product itself. It’s a strange peachy color. It’s creamy but has a sort of airy quality to it. Like angel food cake batter before baking.

It has an odd smell. Think: multivitamin + some-undiscernible-fruit + generic-creamy-scent. I can tell you, for those that can’t picture the scent…it does not “smell bad”. Even if it did…it doesn’t linger, past your final rinse.

It spreads well and can take a lot of add-ins without immediately turning runny, which I loved. If used in the shower a bit of water and rubbing turns it into a nice froth.

I used this a co-wash and protein treatment. It does impart some strength to your hair, most definitely; however, not so much a good deep conditioner can solve the issue easily. My hair felt slightly stronger and a bit more supple with every use.

UNLESS, you are VERY protein sensitive. This may work as a decent strengther (used alone, weekly) for you if you are relaxed and protein sensitive.

Natural sugar-cakes, this probably won’t give you the slip you need to detangle if used as a co-wash.

It’s not too expensive for the price, about $4-6 around my parts.

Overall, this pales in comparison to Aphogee’s 2-min Reconstructor. Unless, of course, you don’t need something that strong. Being natural, that is likely the case, as your hair is not chemically altered.
