  1. These pics make me to happy. Seeing our wonderful First Lady onpeing up the White House to the people.’ it’s that part that makes the Villager’ mad don’t they know that it should be THEIR children at the White House today?

  2. that final dress with the gloves is just stunning! So elegant. And Mr. O next to her in tails. They look like royalty!

  3. The last white gown is absolutely stunning…I think I may steal that type of dress when I get married one day, it’s just so beautiful!

  4. I’m actually not a fan of this cover photo, but Mrs. O is just FAB-U-LOUS!!! I honestly can’t decide which of the Obama power couple I love more — I guess it’s like having kids, I love them both equally and differently. As for Michelle, she is just an amazing woman. She runs her home, is comfortable in her own skin, and sets a great example for what it means to be a 21st century American women (let alone a black woman). The Obamas have re-written the script for what it means to be the First Family, and there will be no imitators or duplicators!

  5. I can’t help but admire our intelligent, elegant, and beautiful First Lady! She is such an inspiration is so many ways for us: as an individual, wife, mother, and more.

  6. I still tear up when I think about what an accomplished, beautiful and mystifying First Lady we are fortunate to have – I am grateful, thank you Essence (tk goodness for Constance White taking over as editor as well, lol!).

  7. In the next edition of Webster’s dictionary, or any other dictionary for that matter, when they go to define “elegance”, they need to put a picture of First Lady Obama as the illustration. Few other women I’ve seen in pictures lately embody it the way she does.

  8. Dear Mrs Michelle,
I think you are wonderful. Always graceful, always articulate, always on point. and when i’m older i want to be just like you. In fact i don’t think i can wait that long…

  9. Her skin is like butter. I wanna know what she’s using cause that ain’t regular lotion that’s got her skin all even and gleamy like that.

  10. Mrs. Obama is absolutely breathtaking! I am so thrilled, and proud that she is OUR First Lady.

  11. here are two other great outfits. she seems to do very well with gowns but she has had some moments where I scratched my head. and even though shes an older woman, im in my twenties and I would wear some of these outfits. O made a great choice marrying her.

  12. She looks particularly good in Lauren (2), Lanvin (6), and in the dress she wore to honor Jared C Monti (10).
