On Thursday The Daily Mail reported that 30 beverages have been recalled by the FDA just this year. The recalls are from well-known brands like Schweppes, Martinelli’s, Fiji and Powerade, and happened because the drinks “contained something the company had not declared – including drugs, bacteria and harmful chemicals.”

After reading the article, I couldn’t help but think about the beauty/skincare industry – which is far less regulated than the food industry. Acne products are the latest to come under scrutiny for potential cancer risk.
