Summer is here and nothing’s better than the sun’s rays illuminating glowing skin. Here are 4 ways to enhance your natural glow.
First things first: Exfoliate! According to the American Academy of Dermatology Association, “exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells from the outer layer of your skin.” When choosing your exfoliation products, consider your skin type. Second: Wash REGULARLY! Now I know y’all might be thinking: “Really Alyssa? You had to tell us that?” The answer is yes! I cannot believe how many articles and interviews I’ve seen lately that normalize not washing regularly. Maybe I’m old-school, but I was raised with daily baths or showers. If I don’t take a bath or shower every my acne starts to act up, and my sensitive skin is even more sensitive.
Third: Get that Vitamin D with sunscreen! Full transparency, I used to think sunscreen wasn’t needed. It was always too smelly or left that white chalky film on my face that had me going around looking like Casper the friendly ghost. 🤦🏾♀️ Then I found my favorite sunscreen of all time: Black Girl Sunscreen.
