If you look through our product offerings you’ll notice that we have body butters described as “whipped” and others described as “blended”. But what are they?
First, let’s get into what they’re NOT. Our Blended Butters are not prepared any differently than our whipped butters. Each body butter we sell is whipped for a minimum of one hour to get a soft, fluffy and absorbent texture.
A few years after we launched customers began asking if we could combine butters. We started experimenting, and found combined butters to be, on average, more absorbent than the regular whips! We gave them the name “Blended Butters”, i.e. body butters with two tree nut/fruit butters in the base.
We have three categories of Blended Butters:
Body Butters with Shea and Cocoa in the Base
These are Cocoa Shea Blended Butter, Mocha Latte Blended Butter and Ice Cream Blended Butter.
Body Butters with Shea and Mango in the Base
This is definitely our most popular Blended Butter category! It includes Mango Shea Blended Butter, Sandalwood & Bergamot Blended Butter, Rose Blended Butter, The Woods Blended Butter, Lemon & Lavender Blended Butter, Lemon Cream Blended Butter and Candy Blended Butter.

Body Butters with Mango and Cocoa in the Base
The cool thing about these is they are all coconut oil and almond oil free! To be clear we ADORE coconut oil and almond oil. But over the years we’ve found that many people are either allergic to or dislike those ingredients, so we started releasing butters without them. (Lemon & Lavender Blended Butter also doesn’t contain any coconut oil or almond oil.) The butters in this category are Olive Oil Whipped Cocoa Butter (a personal favorite of mine!) and Lavender & Cocoa Blended Butter.
So, let’s talk differentiation. How are they different from each other? To get into that we need to talk about how whipped shea, cocoa and mango butter behave.
Shea butter whips up really fluffy and thick, mango butter whips up very silky, and cocoa butter tends to give the most sheen.
So when you combine them…
Cocoa and shea butters are fluffy and give you a nice sheen. If you really want to glow, these are perfect.
Mango and shea butters are fluffy but also super absorbent. They absorb beautifully into hair, fluffing the strands without weighing them down. We recommend these highly for those who want a multi-use, hair + skin product.
Mango and cocoa butter are very very silky! They go on incredibly smooth and produce a nice glow! They’re like the 70s soul of body butters.
What do customers have to say?
Here’s a review from each category;
“I waited a few weeks to review so it was honest. Now honestly… I love it! Im obsessed. Im sensitive to scents, but the light chocolate smell makes me wanna eat it! Seriously though, Ive had eczema on my hands & dry patches on my legs for a year now & nothing has worked; prescription ointments, cortisone, nothing. Within a few days, my eczema cleared up & the dry patches are almost all gone by now. My skin feels very smooth after massaging it in after a shower & the butter is not heavy. The GLOW! I be glistening out here haha! New permanent customer!” — T. Dixon on Cocoa Shea Blended Butter
“The sandalwood and bergamont whipped shea butter is so divine! I bought it for my husband and he uses it on his beard and bald head. His beard is so soft now and it smells wonderful. Definitely a worthwhile purchase. ❤” — Gabrielle on Sandalwood & Bergamot Blended Butter
“This smells so good! It smells like chocolate and it melts instantly on your skin.” — Elizabeth on Olive Oil Whipped Cocoa Butter
