We all know whipped shea, cocoa and mango butter can give you an incredible glow. But why?
1. They are high in vitamin A, which promotes healthy skin cell production.
“Shea butter is so rich in vitamin A that you could call it vitamin A (retinol) cream, no kidding! Retinol and retinoic acid are important for healthy skin cell production. Vitamin A also stimulates the cells responsible for developing tissue, known as fibroblasts, that keep skin supple and healthy from within the epidermis and dermis layers of the skin.”
2. They are rich in compounds that reduce inflammation (itching, redness, irritation) in the skin.
3. They are high in fatty acids which improve hydration and elasticity.
4. All of our whipped butters contain coconut oil, which is anti‐bacterial and recommended as a treatment for eczema.
Given this ‘my dry skin is gone forever’ (or some variation of this) is a sentiment we often hear from customers.
“I have had very itchy eczema and this is cooling and refreshing and melts into skin. I used it on wash day for my 4C hair and it made my twist out buttery soft and moisturized for days.” — Shafiqah on Vanilla Latte Blended Butter
“AMAZING STUFF! I have eczema, and I have tried and used countless lotion brands with no success. I decided to try this butter out, and I am so happy I did. This whipped shea butter has done wonders for my skin, and my skin is so soft and glowy!” — Em on Vanilla Whipped Shea Butter
“These products are amazing! I simply love the butters. They are so fluffy and smooth. My skin feels WONDERFUL, especially in winter! The whipped cocoa butter smells divine. It smells like pure chocolate. My husband has problems with dry skin/eczema and he has seen 100% improvement. I’ve also tried the Mango/Shea butter. It made for twist out that slaaaayed! Much carnage in the lands after letting my twists set with the Mango/Shea butter.” — Tasha Jay on Whipped Butters 6 oz Sample Pack
