It’s been a little while since our last email.
That’s because we’ve been super busy, for a few reasons:
1. Word of mouth has been incredibly strong this year.
We’ve experienced a steady flow of orders, which we are very grateful for! At a certain point, it became more important to focus on fulfilling existing orders than continuing active marketing.
2. We took our seasonal production break.
Crafting our products is physically demanding (it involves heat, cold and 50 pound blocks of raw materials), so each quarter, our team takes a short pause to let our bodies heal and rest. The break was wonderful—but we came back to a very full order queue!
3. We’re preparing for our summer hiatus.
Starting June 19, 2026 (Juneteenth), our whipped and raw butters will not be available for purchase during the summer months. (Subscription members will still have the option to receive butters during this time.)
We’ll continue offering our body oils and black soap year-round, since they’re not heat-sensitive.
After 11 years, we’re officially adapting to the reality of hotter, longer summers. Maintaining the light, fluffy texture we’re known for becomes very challenging during peak heat. So we decided to put quality above summer revenue.

We’re excited to be back and will be in touch more regularly leading up to our summer pause!
