Great videos here but sadly may hair is too short and a different texture to those with the styles I love, story of my natural life. I can’t really manage updos yet and all the short haired tuts I see are, no offense boring! I can do twists and cornrows up the side but I’d really like a nice topknot bun or 40s pin tuck style. Most people with my texture seem to do that cinnabun/multiple roll style but it just isn’t for me. I feel limited.

Thanks but my hair is longer than those ladies. I am at an almost length not TWA. Shrinkage and tight coils mean I can’t achieve the styles I’d like. I would love to see awkward stage Youtubers styling techniques as people very often glide over that stage and only talk about the TWA or longer lengths.

I used to love chisellecouture’s video tutorials but they have since been taken down 🙁 If anyone knows if they’ve been reposted under a different name or something please let me know!!
I think she stopped because people were getting over obsessive about her hair choices and she did mention that when she chopped her hair, the shorter length was not really conducive to exciting styling of the previous length.
I had to bookmark this page. I keep my hair fully protected in the winter, but when the warm months hit, I look forward to trying these styles!!

I’ve been rocking 7 tucked-in big braids on my head for the past 10 days, and trying to pass it off as a hairstyle! Hairstyle my _ss!

Beautiful! I’ve been trying variations on this same technique, making little rolls and pulling them back, to the sides, etc. This is pretty and I look forward to trying it.

This is my favorite style. I started wearing my hair like this a few years ago (before I went natural) after I saw the models in a Carolina Herrera show with this style. My hair’s in this style 50% of the time and I’m wearing it right now.

I love xGOLDn’s channel and I’ve been watching her since she was relaxed. Out of all of her hair styling vids this one is my favorite. The video was posted while I was transitioning, so I had to wait a year after it was posted to have enough hair to do the style lol. It’s my favorite protective style now 🙂
