WWE wrestler and Total Divas star Mandy Rose thought it would be funny to mock the afro of a black woman sitting ahead of her on an airplane, and encourage her Snapchat fans to get in on the ‘joke’. Rose Snapchatted the woman’s afro and captioned it “and for the third time today” with arrows pointing to the woman’s natural hair and the acronym “WTF.” Ironically, Rose shamed the woman while wearing cornrows -– a hair style common to and originated by black women.

Even though Snapchat stories only stay public for 24 hours, it wasn’t long before someone took a screen shot of the questionable posting. News of Rose’s shaming went viral and now the wrestler is facing backlash from many of her fans who are questioning why she would express disdain for being seated behind a black woman with an afro.

Initially, when I saw the photo, I thought that the woman was blocking Rose’s view. However, when I looked closer, the woman’s hair is in no way blocking her view of anything. The WWE star has not made any comments or statements regarding the backlash.

This is what they do in order to maintain the false sense of superiority. Mad cause your hair lacks body and texture and you can only style it 1-2 ways without the help of mad ornaments. This is why the straight silky weave on black women must go.. Meanwhile, she’ll be overweight and looking twice her age in a few years.. foh
Someone who’s only marketable skill is prancing around half nude in fake wrestling shows probably shouldn’t be critical of other people or their hair.
She is of the same immature mind set of that Playboy model Dani Mathers who uploaded pictures of a 70 yr old in the shower in an attempt to shame.
It is behavior far below jr.hi level immaturity.
People with a normal brain would never think that this is OK. She is supposed to be an adult.
Bet she didn’t think she’d get caught doing that. She’ll still be an ignoramus but I bet she won’t post no hot mess like that on social media again.
This will only stop when black people, especially black women, stop idolizing these white fools and supporting them. I’m sure she had a ton of black female fans before this incident.
It’s not only black women- Black men stay up in tBecky/Amber face complaining and talking greasy about black women. Stay Chastising black women online for wearing weaves, but will wife up a white chick for having black girl features- even if she paid for it….smh
These ignorant folks keeps showing their true colors. But It’s cool cause I”m keep a list of them to make sure I don’t support them in any way shape or form.
I have a suspicion this kind of petty insidious behavior is about to get more and more common. I say, brace yourselves ladies.
^^^THIS^^^
They’re so hateful. I don’t get it. It’s like they see a black person and they HAVE to say something negative.
I know no one is surprised by this white woman feeling so comfortable about making fun of an afro while Wearing braids……..? RIGHT…….? IF SO, not sure where you have been, they have been made to feel so comfortable that she probably does not see the IGNORANCE in what she did! HMMM….WONDER WHY!
They’re bringing Hogan back, OF COURSE this was fine.
How about she dye those black roots tho! ???
That’s a Dutch braid, not cornrows, and they were done by one of her fellow wrestlers Bianca, who is black.
Dutch braid is the non poc term for cornrows. They’re done in the exact same way. There is no difference in the braid pattern.
Are you defending her?
Oh, so it’s a “dutch braid” if a white woman wears it, eh? Please!
How did they become Dutch braids no different to the French adopting braids and calling them French braids. Research the history behind the European labels.
In my neck of the woods, we call those cane-rows, others call them Dutch braids. The reverse style is called corn-rows or the French Braid. Can I just say before everybody gets too excited and put in a reminder, there are black people all over the world and just like other sets of people, we share the same things but have different names for them.
I don’t care WHAT she’s wearing or who did it. And saying her “black friend” did her hair is just as heinous as her behavior. How dare she and how dare you?
And who’s surprised?
LMAO the state of this.
That’s No Way Jose’s hair…a male wrestler….blocking her view on the plane.
Nope.
She was on a vacation and not with the rest of the NXT crew.
