On Friday popular hack channel DaveHax posted a video tutorial for slicing an onion using an afro pick. The pick is pressed into the onion, with the prongs creating even sections along which to cut. The tutorial goes on to show the technique being applied to a zucchini, tomato and lemon.
I mean, I’m not going to pretend that this isn’t an effective technique, but it pains me to see an afro pick used for anything other than this.

What happened to this blog??? I remember when I would be geeked to check in to see what the creators were blogging about. Now I just check in out of pure routine.

Yes.
At first, I was excited to see some of the changes being made. However, slowly but surely, articles about hair care and uplifting the kinky coily aesthetic have disappeared.
I’m all for changes in vision, new inspirations, etc.etc. but this it too much. When’s the last time there was a style icon? What happened to articles about hair care? And no, not another style tutorial. Maintainance. Product reviews. New trends in hair.
I preferred this site when it only updated weekly, and 4/5 articles were exciting for me to read.
Listen…this is going to save a lot of people a lot of trips to the ER. I’m all for it. Pretty sure I’ve got a metal pick around here somewhere… 🙂
