[Video] Get Down Now! President Obama Does a Traditional Kenyan Line Dance

We already know that President Obama can sing…

But did you know that, when need be, he can get down on the dance floor?

The President recently visited his father’s homeland of Kenya — he is the first sitting US president to do so — and during a state dinner Saturday night he did the traditional Lipala dance. Take a look;

He was joined in the dance by President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta. Get it!

  1. Hi Leila. Love your website btw. Just a simple correction, it’s not a “traditional” dance, but a “popular” one. It is popular because of the song Sura Yako (translation: Your Face) that was being sang by the band Sauti Sol. Great post all the same.
