  1. I don’t drop a leave a response, however I read a few of the responses on this page Teyonah Parris? Fro is Giving Us Life!
    | Black Girl with Long Hair. I do have a couple of questions for
you if you do not mind. Could it be simply me or do some of these remarks
come across like they are coming from brain dead people?

😛 And, if you are posting at additional online sites, I’d like to
follow you. Could you post a list of every one of your social networking pages like
your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?

  2. Awesome hydrated fro! Bet she keeps it that way by sleeping on a DreamSkin Beauty Pillowcase (Janet Jackson’s fav)

  3. It’s refreshing to see somebody that looks like me in the media for once; embracing her beautiful brown skin and dope fro

  4. I love this. That is such a beautiful fro! I can’t wait to rock a fro once I am free of my parents! 😀

  5. She’s gorgeous and i love her fro.Whenever i see her rocking her natural hair,it really encourages me to stay natural,God bless you Teyonah

  6. LOVE it!! It inspires me.

  7. Her skin and hair are amazing! I love seeing undefined hairstyles, the more we see of it, the more people will accept it as beautiful as defined hairstyles.

        1. Solange stated she wears a weave for protective styling, whats wrong with that, its her preference?

    1. Cause Solange told the world she don’t want to talk about hair and that she doesn’t care for her hair… And it shows

      1. She was responding to a curlynikki article that was riddled with negative comments about her wearing a fro. She admitted her feelings were hurt and she’d just got bad news that caused her to go on a rant. She never said she didn’t care for her hair. She said she doesn’t like twistouts on her hair and that hair is not something that defines her and I agree with that! People stay coming for that woman now, when she simply buckled from people saying her hair was dry and unkept. I would get mad too! She posted this article saying this is the best way to describe how she feels and I also agree with it: http://modernemeid.tumblr.com/post/24577741089/are-we-going-too-far-when-it-comes-to-other-peoples

        1. i agree with you poster girl. she was coming under a lot of fire, and for no reason. had that been me, i too would have stepped down from the hair spotlight.

        2. I think people go in on celebrities because they’re celebrities. If Solange was an everyday woman featured on this site, I truly believe that people would be praising her for her confidence, etc. The funniest critique that I heard about her on this site was that after 4 years, her hair should be longer. There are tons of naturals who have featured on this site who have been natural for as long as Solange or longer who do not have particularly long hair. I haven’t seen anyone criticizing these women. I think people say things about celebs that they would never say about an average woman. Celebs actually do have feelings.
