From Vogue Spain’s Queen of Africa cover to the runway, budding model Aya Jones has been slaying! Now the remarkable beauty is the face of NARS cosmetic’s Powerfall line. The line’s editorial features Jones decked out in 60’s regalia and crowned with a big beautiful fro.

She looks like a doll, simply flawless! #Slay
You don’t see hardly any afros like this. In the 60s/ 70s afros like this were the norm. Today’s afros are rarely this voluminous. back in the 60s/70s people shampooed with whatever shampoo, greased and some braided at night.
No hair rules, prepoo, post poos, conditioners, mineral oil phobia, etc.
I went to the NARS site on a whim to look at lipstick and saw this and was like YAAAAASSSS SLAY!!
These pictures don’t seem modern. Guess it’s the roundness of her Afro has a 60s feel
It’s not supposed to feel modern. It’s an intentional nod to the glamour of strong black women of the early/mid 70’s
She’s looks so dope!!! <3
