While the Cleveland Cavaliers were at the White House celebrating their recent NBA Championship win, Teyana Taylor stole the social media spotlight with her proud pose.  She wore a big afro, hoop earrings, and burgundy turtleneck and suit — all reminiscent of Angela Davis — while posing near a Hillary Clinton painting. Taylor was attending the event with her Cavalier husband Iman Shupert.

“Walked up in da White House like…*black fist emoji* #WhoGoneStopUs” – @teyanataylor.
She also posted a black-and-white closeup shot of her getup on Instagram with the following Davis quote as her caption:
I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change… I’m changing the things I cannot accept -Angela Davis

Maybe it was a coincidence that Donald Trump was visiting the White House as well. Or maybe not. Either way, we know who Taylor was supporting for president.

Interesting that she would pose with the portrait of woman who lauded Klansman Robert KKK Byrd
She also said Margaret Sanger was her hero—a woman who started Planned Parenthood to get rid of Black people

I think her statement was cheap! I wish these stars (who would otherwise be flaunting a Euro-style) would stop putting on afros when they feel like being pro-black and/or militant. They are no better than the non-blacks who politicize our hair without our input or permission. I am a black woman with a natural hair/afro and I don’t need everyone assuming that I’m militant. I wear my hair this way all day, everyday, without it being some political statement. I wear it that way because simply put, it’s mine! Please stop flaunting afros when you feel like being militant and further emphasizing a stereotype from days gone.
A to the damn MEN
I love it, show that fucktrumpet!!
She rocked it!
Outstanding! It’s a very powerful statement!
