i wish more black women would do this. while black women may not have wrinkles in their skin, the extra weight we often carry and lack or exercise and bad dietary habits definitely show up on the body by the time you hit 30.

I just realized that majority of the natural brides featured on BGLH all had outdoor weddings. Might just be a coincidence, but I still find it interesting. I’ve been a stickler for church ceremonies, but I might look into outdoor chapels.

I love this picture! I’ve had a discussion with my mom about wedding hair (not that I am anywhere close to getting married, but I digress) and she insists that natural hair should be “styled” in order to be wedding appropriate. But this look is so simple, natural, free spirited! She looks very comfortable and timeless! I love it!

Actually, his long time wife BEFORE this one was also a natural black woman. Not sure of if this woman was in the picture before the other marriage ended, but Carlos Santana’s history has always involved a good-looking black woman.
Not really sure how being a natural black woman qualifies her as being who he’s supposed to be with anymore than his last wife (whether she was black and natural, black and relaxed, or anything else). She might disagree with that statement.
