  1. LUPITA!! How can she be any more darling! She is my “friend in my head” like for real! Can we puhelease get back to NATURAL hair braiding…like no extensions, fake hair …its such a lost art:-(

  2. she’s great and all, i think she’s beautiful etc…but i dunno why everyone, blacks whites etc, is fetishizing her as if she’s so rare, i live in africa and this really isn’t that rare (beautiful, smart, skilled, eloquent dark girl), and it seems like people are turning her into the messiah/representant for black or dark or african girls everywhere, it’s very off putting.

      1. Isn’t her being great reason enough for people to get excited? She’s a celebrity! Jennifer Lawrence isn’t the end-all-be-all either, but she gets plenty of love. Lupita deserves a fan base too.

    1. People aren’t saying that she is a rare specimen but her current success in Hollywood is impressive considering that institution’s history. Her looks, talent and personality are rare in a Hollywood/ International star setting so just be happy for her and cheer that someone who has so much n common with other women like you is getting fame and has a positive fan-base.

  3. Oh my goodness…I know the first girl..Nontsi! How awesome.. 🙂 Lady Lu never ceases to amaze.. #TeamLN

  4. I’m a little reluctant to believe that’s Teyana Taylor’s natural hair only because she’s been advertising her “taylored textures” hair extensions recently

  5. I can’t get enough of Lupita; she has so much to give the world including how to love our natural, God-given hair.

  6. NPR- Not post Related
Is it me or we haven’t seen a style/ hair icon posted in like, forever??

Anywho, I really enjoyed that video with Lupita braiding her friends’ hair 🙂

      1. I though I was the ONLY one. My oldest niece is 14 and I would have stomped her in the floor if she went around dressed like Willow.

        1. Willow looks fantastic. What a fortunate girl not to have violent ppl in her life who would stomp her.

          1. Teach these girls to respect themselves and cover up. What’s so fantastic about going around showing your stomach and other things. Train your girls to respect themselves. I teach her to be modest and will teach my future children the same (By God’s grace, if her permits me to have some) to do the same. Violent you say? hahahahaahahhaahha My niece is thankful because I warn her and teach her what the heck this world is about, and how NOT to get caught up in the latest trend and fashion. I teach her to be a true women of God, she is now capable to know what is a appropriate and what is NOT.
