File this one under ‘things President Barack Obama is NOT having’… A Kenyan lawyer named Felix Kiprono has offered 50 cows, 70 sheep and 30 goats for Malia Obama’s hand in marriage. That’s $90,000 worth of livestock, according to CNN.
And dude is prepared and ready, stating in an interview with The Nairobian that he will get an official letter to Obama when he travels to Kenya in July.
“I am currently drafting a letter to Obama asking him to please have Malia accompany him for this trip. I hope the embassy will pass the letter to him. I will hand it over to the US Ambassador with whom we have interacted several times.”
But all of this is questionable considering that Malia Obama is only 16 and Felix says he fell in love with her back in 2008, when she was a tender 9. Yikes!
“I got interested in her in 2008. As a matter of fact, I haven’t dated anyone since and promise to be faithful to her. I have shared this with my family and they are willing to help me raise the bride price… My love is real.”
Well… we don’t know if the love is real, but the pedo vibe certainly is.
This is definitely not the last time Barack Obama will field a marriage request, as Malia is growing into a smart, gorgeous young lady…

Well, Malia is quite the looker as a young girl. She inherited her looks from her mom it seems.

Everyone (and the article) seems to be assuming it’s Barack’s job to protect his daughter, and not Michelle’s. That’s a really patriarchal gender role way of looking at it.
It IS a father’s job to protect his children. And since this pedo will be addressing his entreaty for Malia’s hand to her FATHER, it is President Obama’s job to check this perv.
I wish Malia would sport her natural hair. Curls would frame her face beautifully! She really is a gorgeous girl no matter what she does.
Speaking as someone from the same country as this man, I can tell you that Kenyans do not take him seriously; many have laughed over the issue. We still pay bride price but do so after a couple has fallen in love, is within the legal age limit, and has made the decision to marry without coercion. This comedian is not a reflection of our people or our culture.

Agreed. Only purpose it has served is to draw my attention to the fact that none of the women in that family wear their natural hair with pride …. un-straightened. Now THAT would be newsworthy above all of it. I imagine at least one of the girls if not both will grow up to marry white men. Pretty safe-ish bet the way trends have and are going.

Can we please not generalize? This is one individual from one culture in one country in a continent with hundreds, no, make that thousands of cultures. There are many more African men whose preference is for women (not underage girls). Or men (but that is another topic).
I’m not sure why we put underage marriage on ONLY African men’s shoulders, when pedophilia was something Europeans practiced regularly on Natives from every continent, and Greeks praised pederasty. Asians have similar tales. There are a few communities in this world with zero rape and zero pedophilia, but they are truly few and far between.
