Halle Berry, who’s been in the news recently due to her clash with LA papparrazi, has switched to a new look. In late April the stunning 45-year-old actress gave up her short, straight pixie cut in favor of chin length curls (which may or may not be a wig). What do you think of Berry’s new look? Hell no this is not real. In March her hair was above her ears, relaxed. And this is not her natural hair texture. Her natural hair is way more kinkier.

I think that Halle is one of those people who will always look great with short hair. She has such a small, delicate face and features that this style overwhelms her and hides most of her face. The less hair she has, the more her features can be highlighted and the more youthful she looks. She is actually one of those who would be able to pull off one of those natural buzz cuts.

The chin length cut is not for her, I don’t like it….it makes her look old
I love it lol. And if she’s growing it out then GOOOD FOR HER. she looks beautiful with her long natural hair.

I have to agree with the other commenters–not really feeling it. Although I think that a nice curly cut and little styling aid to fix the frizz and all would be cool. However is this her hair or a wig/weave? Just wondering…
I know many say she looks better with short hair but I think longer hair makes her look a thousand times younger!!She looks like she’s in her late 20’s /early 30’s…I think last time she rocked the short hair,it looked too tapered and somewhat masculine.
So it’s nice to see her rocking a softer hairstyle. Let’s keep in mind that in these pics,she’s not super glammed up or anything.So she would probably look 10 times better for an event.Anyways my verdict is YAY!
I think Halle is beautiful but this hairdo looks like one of those old lady wigs one would buy from one of those wig magazines.

The frizzy patch at the top is probably where she’s graying the most. Gray hair can be rather unfriendly.
She’s growing it out and keeping it natural for her daughter. Nothing to do with a man. She’s trying to set an example of self acceptance for her daughter. The child mentioned something to the effect that she didn’t like her curly hair & Halle decided to grow it out. THAT is why. She is trying to be a good mother.
Hey Diva, I actually suspected what you’ve said, but of course, have no way of knowing if that is in fact the case.
Regardless, I like it and I like the classic “Berry/Braxton” cut! I think she looks carefree with these curls. Perhaps getting married may have more to do with the carefree happy Halle we’re seeing and not the haircut, LOL. Good Luck Halle!

Wow! These comments amaze me. Most likely Halle is growing her hair out (for that gorgeous man of hers). Why would she cut it if she’s trying to attain length? Patience is a virtue, people. Although she and I don’t have the same type of hair; growing curls can be a challenge at times, especially when this DC humidity attacks and I get the ultra-big bouff effect with my less than chin length tresses. God knows that sharing the same age as Halle and having had my own health and life challenges, hair is a minimal worry many women our age have. I guess wisdom comes with age. smh.
The comments may have overwhelmingly rated her hair as less attractive than other styles she has worn in the past – the purpose of the post – however, from what I read, they were respectful in tone, acknowledged her hair choices were her own and admiring of her beauty and the styles they did like on her. Wisdom comes with all ages.

Actually with many of the comments I’ve read, I would respectfully disagree with you. Why would many of you actually care this much about her hair? It is beautiful and fits her face. It is very apparent she is growing it out. it is common that when growing out hair it goes through various lengths. Most of the comments reference that her hair should be long or short, as if she should cut it off or throw on a weave. Patience is a virtue that many do not have. I stand by my previous point. As for the last comment from the poster directly above, the words and tone say more about you and your perspective on the world and toward others, than me. Your post lacks both wisdom and respect toward others.
I agree that when one ages, hair becomes less of an issue. I’m not as old as Halle but I’m old enough to notice that myself.
I do think this particular style ages her more, but I was mostly thinking, look how full, healthy and curly it looks! The issue is that the hair is beautiful but just not flattering on her. Plus people are accustomed to seeing her with the pixie cut.
Funny, this shows that curls are curls and hair is hair no matter who wears it because this same issue came up with Mrs. Duggar (the mother of 19 children). She always wears her hair waist-length hair curly. She recently got eight inches chopped off and had her hair blow-dried straight with a few exceptions – overwhelmingly most people said she looked younger and better with her hair cut a little and blow-dried straight. Despite that, she said she likes it but prefers her curls.
I like her right to wear it that way, but I do not like the look on her.

Hmmm, I don’t know that I am crazy about that style on her. However, she looks nice in curls. I love Halle’s look with short hair or longer hair, personally!

Halle Berry looks happy and content so i guess she isn’t trying have a cute do like in the past.We should be happy when we see celebrities look normal because they are still humans at the end of the day.
Halle Berry is such a beautiful woman–her face is stunning! However, this hair is not flattering on her. It overwhelms her petite face and looks rather bulky.
She has a beautiful head of hair, she should just let it grow out!
Sorry to say, but I don’t think the style fits her face. I didn’t like Halle when she was had long hair either. I love her in her signature pixie cut. She’s one of those people that simply looks better w/ short hair. Maybe she should try a TWA or some style that moves her hair away from her face.
I agree with all of this. She is defintely one of those folks that look best with short hair. More hair seems to overwhelm her features, or something.
It does look a bit “wiggy” but maybe if she pushed it back with a headband or if it was a TWA, it would look better!
halle is one of those people who just looks better with short hair.
i guess longer hair makes her look too girlie and cutesy to me. in a way, it makes her look more average and girl next door.
short hair gives her a more edgy look, which i prefer on her.
Well, now that the frizz police has spoken…I think it looks super cute. I also think it’s hers. Being natural is about embracing what grows out of your head “naturally”. For me, and apparently Halle that means frizz. Especially in humidity. Own it and make it fab is my motto.
This is not her hair, just like the long straight hair wasnt hers…last month she was working a very short hair style that was her own hair..

I was thinking the same thing. Long hair ages her. She is one of the few people that look (IMO) way better with a short cut. Luvs her either way she likes but deff would vote for the pixie cut 100% of the time.

I find the style overwhelming for such a beautiful face as well and lacking the edge her other styles gave her. As for it being a wig, it’s a high probability IMO. She’s an actress, they all have to protect their assets from constant manipulation so it wouldn’t surprise me. Glad to see she looks happy!

I totally agree with u…it does age her, and the style n shape is not flattering on her…i’m all for mixing up ur look…but this isn’t it for Halle…
I like that it’s curly, but I’m not sure I actually like the style. There’s a frizzy patch on the top in these pictures and most others that I’ve seen of her with this hairstyle that looks kind of funny because it’s also a different color. Not that I never frizz or anything… it just seems like the curls are really loose and defined at the ends, but frizzy at the roots. I don’t keep up with her enough to know: is this a weave? or removal of a weave?
I love it! Then again, Halle always looks amazing.
