Introduce yourself!
V:
My name is Vanessa Wright and I am born and raised in California, but currently reside in Atlanta. I am the designer of a start up capsule collection called Printed Pattern People and am also a Visual Stylist for Bloomingdales.

How would you describe your personal style?
V:
Eclectic…I like to mix styles between a lot of different cultures, but the over all esthetic has a very free spirited vibe. That why I have the name Bazaar Bohemian…I just think it’s imperative to stay true to your spirit and your inner essence because you owe just that little to the Universe that created you.

What are the three favorite things in your closet?
V:
I have a vintage Japanese Kimono that drags on the floor and is completely amazing. My 70’s bowling bag that I use as a handbag. It’s tooled leather and still has the ball holder inside. My third favorite piece is from my own collection!!! It’s an oversize wool cape with an extended collar…So Fab 😉

Why did you make the decision to go natural?
V:
I’ve been natural for 9 years. I went natural about a year after I moved to LA. It was crazy because it was 2003 and being natural definitely wasn’t the “thing” to do…lol. So in the beginning it was very difficult to find my footing with it. There weren’t blogs, groups, or other strong outlets to help me with the transition. But needless to say it was the best decision of my Life. I felt so RAW and Beautiful even when my hair had no idea what it was doing. All I knew was cutting out all of the perm and starting completely over was what my spirit was asking for. I was ready to start that next journey in my Life and looked forward to the day my Locs could tell a story about my past.

How would you describe your texture?
V:
My hair is thick, yet really soft.

What method was used to start your locs?
V:
I went to a Loctician to start my Locs and he used the palm rolling method. I‘ve never counted my Locs until now and I have about 60 of them.

How do you style your locs?
V:
I don’t really use products to style my hair, but I live for a random messy bun. I tend to just throw it up and wrap 2 pony holders around it randomly. It creates this messy yet pulled together look that’s less contrived.

What does wash day look like for you?
V:
I use black soap, tea tree oil, coconut oil and olive oil to wash and moisturize my Locs.

Is there a blog/webpage where we can find you?
V:
Instagram @thebazaarbohemian and on Etsy.com/shop/printedpatternpeople.

  1. Hiya! Quick question that’s completely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly?
My blog looks weird when viewing from my iphone4. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to correct this problem.
If you have any recommendations, please share. Cheers!

  2. I’ve been surfing online more than three hours lately, yet I by no
    means discovered any fascinating article
like yours. It’s lovely price sufficient for me. Personally, if
all web owners and bloggers made just right content material as you probably did, the internet will be
much more useful than ever before.

    My web-site: ?? ???? ???? (Jeramy)

  3. Hi there! I simply would like to give you a huge
thumbs up for your excellent info you’ve got here on this post.
I’ll be coming back to your web site for more soon.

  4. I was wondering if you ever considered changing the structure of your blog?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But
maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two pictures.
Maybe you could space it out better?

  5. I really like your blog.. very nice colors & theme.
Did you make this website yourself or did you hire someone to do it for you?
Plz answer back as I’m looking to design my own blog and would like to find out where u got this from. thanks a lot

  6. Love your style and that is not something I say often. You seem to have a clear vision of your style and I like

  7. I loooove the 11th picture!!! When looking at the pic its like I want to turn around a see what shes looking at. It really shows a lot of emotion and draws you in. Simple yet meaningful. Your style is really superb.

  8. Depending on your style and lane conditions, making the right decision can be tricky at times. The easiest and best way to decide which bowling ball is right for you is to visit your local bowling pro shop. Many pro shop owners have been around the game of bowling for quite some time. With their knowledge and experience, as well as watching you bowl, they can give you strong recommendations on which bowling ball will suit your game…

  9. Gorgeous. Love her style. I need that outfit that she has on, on those stairs, in my wardrobe.

  10. I love that there is a section for women with locs on here! Since starting my locs 7 months ago, I’ve noticed a need for loc-specific advice, products, styles, etc. Vanessa looks great, and I love the prints.

  11. Absolutely fabulous!!! Loved it. Went STRAIGHT to the etsy to check for some of those pieces and will be checking it for updates.

  12. I love it all, the hair, the look, and the style! Absolutely stunning. I am pleased to see someone with locs since it is something seldom seen or discussed on this site. I would love to see more. Beautiful, Sis.

  13. love it! locs are so simple (well if you know what you’re doing) to take care of. there should be no excessive products and she embodies that.
please more loc’ed ladies! there are so many on instagram that I am dying to learn about: bhargette, marley_soul, prettylocs, chia1921, lox_on_deck, the list goes on….

  14. WOW!!!! Seriously….in the ocean of people who call themselves fashionistas and stylits, you really stand out as someone with a solid, concrete and UNIQUE sense of style. I’m really impressed. Love the different colors, textures, prints…beautiful. You have a great eye for fashion.

  15. Gorgeous hair, great style!! I think im going to love this new feature. Two of my favourite things right now – natural hair and fashion!
