K: My name is Kim and I am a fashion blogger/vlogger from North Carolina.
What is your style philosophy?
K: When it comes to style and fashion I believe that you should stay true to yourself. I never wear clothing that makes me feel uncomfortable just to be trendy. I believe in “keeping it simple.” I like to play up my best assets and wear clothing that fits my body well. That is what I enjoy, and I stay true to that.
How would you describe your sense of style?
K:Â I would describe my overall style as classic, with an edge. I enjoy having a few key basics in my wardrobe that I can utilize and mix and match.
What is your process of deciding what to wear in the morning?
K:Â I dress myself based on how I am feeling, with the exception of work. I work in a professional environment, so I am more restricted in that area of my life, but in my free time I just go with the flow. Fashion is supposed to be fun, so I do not take it too seriously.
What are the three favorite things in your closet?
K:Â Recently, I found a vintage sequin vest that I am in love with. I also adore a good blazer and a vintage purse that my mom gave me.
What are some of your favorite shops/websites for clothes, shoes and accessories?
K:Â I really like to thrift when I have time. Honetsly, I shop everywhere from Walmart to Top Shop, but one of my favorite stores is ASOS because they stay ahead of fashion trends and offer clothing in array of sizes.
How long have you been natural?
K:I have been natural for about 2 years.
How and why did you transition into natural hair?
K:Â I went natural strictly out of curiousity. I wanted to see what my hair would look like without a relaxer, so I decided to transition.
What is your signature hairstyle?
K:Â My hair is usually in a twist out or a puff.
Describe your styling regimen over the course of the month
K:Â I like to keep my routine basic. I make sure that I deep condition my hair every two weeks, and I moisturize my hair as needed because it can get very dry at times. At night I either twist my hair or wear a satin bonnet to bed. That is all I do.
