Some people need to learn the difference between “hating” and saying what is right. You can’t color your hair and add on fake pieces yet still call it natural. Just because the added on hair is in the form of braids doesn’t make it natural. When you alter the state of what something should look like naturally, it is not natural anymore.

It’s seems that any braid… Unless they are seriously small (micro) are called box braids? Am I wrong? My friend went to a hairdresser asking for box braids… She even explained them, and came out with normal sized braids. When I think box braids it’s more that the extension is thick on each braid and you kinda kinda see the box shape on the parting (depending on the fullness you want)….. No?
I always thought of Box braids as the square they make when sectioning the hair… You can have small to large box braids you have to be VERY specific with the braider… my 2 cents.

Hey just a question I have sengelaise also. Do you get them redone if so how often or do you just keep the same twist in the whole 6 months? This is my first time with them and I planned on taking them out in 10 weeks didn’t know if my hair would dread up (if that makes sense). I’m transitioning to natural it’s been 8 months so far since my last relaxer.
I just redo the edges so the back and front and it looks really fresh-but it does get matted regardless-if you keep them in for these long amounts of time…
thanks. do you combat the matting by using conditioner and oil when removing the braids I would really like to keep my twist in longer if possible, but I do not want to lose much hair (besides shaded hair) in the process.
I’m not going to lie I did loose some hair because of of rushing instead of taking time to moisten the air with whatever you prefer and then slowly using a fine tooth comb to detangle the matted part.
The art is just taking your time when taking out the extensions-that way you won’t loose any hair but what is necessary-the dead hair.
I think they won’t distarct from her degrading Grammy performance but anyway, Beyonce has fine hair as in the individual strands are thin and delicate. As someone with fine hair myself I stay away from heavy hairstyle like this because they will tear up that hairline quick. Beyonce needs better hair advisers, it appears as tho her team is more concerned with her looks and not concerned enough about the health of her hair. If I had her moeny, my hair would be down to the floor from the best care money can buy.
