The historic Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater partnered with Elle Magazine for a stunning photo shoot that showcases the beauty of black bodies. The shoot taps dancers Belen Pereyra, Samantha Figgins, Danica Paulos, and Fana Tesfagiorgis to model pieces from design companies including Tori Praver and Albertine.

Just an unrelated note; My only issue with these pictures is that some of them include triangl (yes ‘triangle’ w/o an ‘e’) swimwear. I watch a lot black beauty bloggers on youtube who have received free swimsuits and promote the $80 and up swimsuits to their millions of followers but when you go to triangl’s instragram page or even their website you do not see any black, brown or any type of WOC. That bothers me.
I checked their website. There’s one triangl girl towards the very back who’s black. Her name is Persephone.

LOL. Yes, one and I would’ve missed her if I hadn’t committed to flipping through the dozens of white ones they showcased before they got to that one. She was literally third to last.
