  1. I like afro puffs! They’re cute and gives those ends a break..I know I like wearing them sometimes. Everyone looks really cute though, I say if it looks good on you then rock it!

  2. Yes. I’m waiting for my hair to grow long and my curls n coils to develop naturally, and then definitely rocking these and other styles I’ve had in mind. My hair is still transitioning

  3. I personally feel that one could rock any style whether they’re “kiddie” (which is based on perception and not in any way factual) or otherwise.

I really think it’s how you rock it. Sometimes I get so jealous at the variety of beaded, banded, and threaded hairstyles that young girls have. But then I consider the fact that I should have the same access to variety. Once again, it’s how you rock it.

I’ve seen older women with beaded and banded styles that were gorgeous and in no way “kiddish”.

And most of the women pictured above still look like grown women with just a little fun flavor added. Looks good to me and I would definitely try it. You betcha.

  4. I think these are adorable but wouldn’t wear them myself (ok, maybe the afro puffs if I would wear if I weren’t loc’d) because I’m a 31 year old woman who still looks like an 18 year old. I don’t want to give people another reason to treat me like a child. Maybe if I was still 20…

    1. I’m 24 years old and people still think I’m in high school, and one even thought I was in middle school. I feel your pain, I would attempt these styles but people already don’t think I am an adult, lol.

  5. UGH I love double buns and puffs but I don’t have enough hair to do them heck I don’t even have enough hair for a single puff. it always falls into this weird mushroom shape thats not cute

  6. Stunninghair on stunningwomen. However, the first pic, lemme get all gender studies 101 on ya, the sexualisation of the infantilisation of grown women tho…
