I love printed t-shirts, and not necessarily because I want other people to read them. There’s something cool about being able to track pop culture through clothing, and that’s exactly what they do. I still have Rainbow Brite and Tinkerbell shirts from my teen years and even shirts that I got traveling to other countries as a child (they’re just extra baby tee fit now, haha). It may be hard parting with a t-shirt because of the memories associated with them, which is why I have a thing for natural hair tees. You can obviously look at my hair and tell I’m natural, but I just think it’s so cute to see a huge afro or proud declaration of natural hair on any kind of wearable, especially shirts. If that’s also your thing, I’ve compiled a list of shirts to check out – perfect for warmer temps!
Posh Ink Tees: My personal favorite is the “Big Hair” shirt, for obvious reasons, but the other ones are definitely cute! If you love rocking huge puffs and buns, this one is for you. Yes, big hair over everything.
“Louder Than Words” by Et Cetera Boutique: Yep, afros sure do speak louder than words! I have another sweatshirt from this vendor that doesn’t seem to be available anymore (“Bunnin”), but plenty of the designs are super cute. She also sells head wraps and jewelry.
Kurlee Girls Rock Tank by Kurlee Belle: I have multiple shirts from Kurlee Belle, but the “Kurlee Girls Rock” print is my favorite by far. I remember a similar kind of print was circulating a few years ago as well – if you know where I can find that…let me know! Also, Kurlee Belle sells products, so you can buy your products and clothes at the same time.
“Super Natural” by Natural Girls Rock: Part superhero, all natural. It may not help you fight crime, but it sure is cute. Think a Wonder Woman/Superman vibe. Use code ROCKSTAR415 for 10% off.
“Beautiful in Every Shade” Tank: Alright, alright, this isn’t a natural hair shirt, but I kept seeing the pictures of the adorable kids wearing the shirt and onesie that I had to Google the campaign and find the site myself. I opted for the tank (for summer), but they also sell t-shirts and messenger bags for adults. Love!
Black Girls Are Magic Hoodie: Again, not a natural hair shirt, but there’s no way I can make a list like this without shouting out the “Black Girls are Magic” line. Using a similar theme to the retro show, “Bewitched,” this line has become a hashtag and mantra of empowerment for black girls and women across the world. Seriously, just search the hashtag #blackgirlsaremagic on Twitter and bask in its greatness.
I hope that you all found this list helpful! Not that I need more shirts, but I need more shirts. So…
What are your favorite natural hair shirts to rock?

I want one!
Loved a new t-shirt I just purchased at teespring.com/representing-love-for-natural. It is the cutest natural hair t-shirt:)
I need these ASAP. Thanks for the love.
Black girls are magic wtf???? Ridiculous. Let someone walk outside with a white girls are magic t shirt. The hypocrisy. I really hope people refrain from purchasing that shirt. It made me cringe.
Actually, they’ve made shirts like that for white women along the lines of, “Everyone loves a Jewish girl,” “Everyone loves an Italian girl,” and so on. I honestly couldn’t care less. Just b/c a group wants to uplift themselves doesn’t mean they are insulting other groups. It’s really not that serious, in my opinion. It’s just a cute shirt and it says “magic” b/c it has the same font as Bewitched, which was a show about – you guessed it – magic.
Graphic tees always seem a little juvenile
Black girls are not magic, we are human like everyone else
well, tell that to the rest of humanity. I see nothing wrong with uplifitng ourselves when we are consistently torn down by others. We are resilient, beautiful and amazing through all of it.
therefore, BLACK GIRLS ARE MAGIC.
Who is constantly tearing black girls down? Where are these people? I’ve yet to encounter one. That victim mentality is old and tired. No one is persecuting you. I’m sure when you walk down the street people couldn’t care less what color you are.
you are ignorant and you need to shut the hell up
Shut up debby downer, its a damn hoodie. Cant have anything, i see.
I thought about that too but it’s really not too bad
The last one reminds me of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Surprised Jouelzy’s #SmartBrownGirl shirts aren’t included! It’s not for natural hair but it’d still be a nice addition!
