5 Easy and Work-Friendly Protective Styles

So, it is a new year, and you are working on a new you all the way down to your protective style.  You are in a rut and want something new (AND easy) for 2016.  Well, look no further.  Here are five easy-to-do protective styles that you can wear at the office, to the gym or for a night out!

1. Chunky Twisted Updo

Believe it or not, this protective updo is really easy and quick to achieve. The volumized twists give the illusion of complexity and structure.  For this look, get your bobby pins ready and start on stretched, dry hair.

2. 5-Minute Updo

This five-minute updo literally takes little time to achieve.  Starting from an old braid out or twist out, you essentially pin your way to this regal protective style.  Be sure to have a plentiful stash of bobby pins; it took Jess twenty to thirty pins to create this look.

3. Chic Updo

For this chic and easy updo, flexi rods are used on stretched hair to create elongated curls.  Alternatively, you can use perm rods or rollers to get a similar effect.  Then gather your hair as Liv does in the following tutorial.
