Unlike regular bar soap, that is often too harsh to be used anywhere other than the body, African black soap can be used in a lot of different ways.
First, it’s a gentle facial cleanser. That’s right! We have quite a few customers who use it as a “special soap” only for the delicate skin of the face.
In addition to cleansing the skin without stripping it, African black soap reduces acne and blemishes, and evens skin tone. This is because it’s rich in vitamins A and E. These vitamins are both antioxidants, which help combat free radicals and attacks on otherwise healthy skin tissues.
Second, African black soap can be used as an all-body cleanser. Our black soap bars lather amazingly well (check this video out to see!) making application easy.
Finally, and the most underrated (in my opinion) use of African black soap is as a shampoo! Yes! It works amazingly well as a cleanser that won’t strip hair of its moisture. Your hair will be soft and cooperative after a black soap wash (again, the easy lather makes this process effortless!)
Additionally, if you rub black soap into your scalp during a shampoo you can reduce scalp inflammation and flaking.
