Why is that date significant? 

That’s the date that we, as a brand, made the difficult decision to change our pricing strategy and give up on trying to be a ‘high end skincare brand with low end prices.’ The deep discounts we’d grown accustomed to giving customers were straining us severely, and quite literally pushing us out of existence. 

After we made the change (permanently ending 50% off, Buy One Get One Free and temporarily ending free samples) we experienced a 50% sales drop, as well as customer backlash.

After dealing with it quietly, we made a choice to speak out about what was happening, and express the disappointment we felt.

And after a touch-and-go summer we have entered into a period of deep profitability that has finally, finally restored financial health to our brand. 

So what does that have to do with you?

If you are receiving this message, you are one of the customers who continued purchasing after our June 28 decision to end deep discounting. Our brand is still standing because of you.

And not just standing, but entering a period of stability and creativity unlike anything we’ve experienced. (We were finally able to launch a new product category – body oil – with plans to launch several new varieties in the coming months.)

And so, this Thanksgiving, we are deeply grateful for you. We want you to know that.

And there are a few ways we’re showing appreciation.

1. We’ve reactivated our Free 0.9 oz Sample listing. This link won’t be shared with or accessible to anyone except the recipients of this message throughout our Black Friday promotion, and you can use it as often as you wish. It will expire on Thursday, November 30. Access it here.

2. We are limiting our 40% off Black Friday promotion to 500 uses. Once those uses are up the promotion will end – even if that happens before Black Friday. There are currently 406 uses left. 3. We are continuing our tradition of guaranteed Christmas delivery. We know our products are popular gift items, so we are promising that all orders placed by Cyber Monday (November 27) will be shipped out of our facility by December 7, with plenty of time to arrive by December 25. If your USPS tracking number does not show as “delivered” by December 25 we will refund your entire order.
