My makeup-free face
I was set with St. Ives and Neutrogena facial wash and scrubs for my face as a teen into my adulthood. Unfortunately BGLH butters and soap were not around during those times. So my skin was trained in those two products. I started taking birth control at the tender age of 17 and off and on until December of 2019 I was 34 years old.
I added black soap to my regimen back in 2018. My husband, children and I moved from California to South Carolina, where the climate was very different. It was colder than Los Angeles and I needed a gentler, more moisturizing soap. I also needed simple effective products beacause at the time I had a two-year old and a newborn and didn’t have the time for a full out facial lol!

I went back on birth control and noticed that my skin was always clear with that synthetic hormone in my bloodstream. So I never worried about breakouts or blemishes. I wanted to stay on them for that reason, but my hair was thinning out and I couldn’t have that! We moved again, to Texas in 2019 and I got off birth control. My hair started to grow back with the help of BGLH whipped butter and Kaleidoscope Miracle Drops!
But my face started breaking out from having to adjust yet another climate. I went back to my old faithfuls — St. Ives facial scrub and Neutrogena acne facial wash — but added in BGLH black soap, BGLH whipped butter, Vitamin C Drops and rose water with aloe. I’m so excited to be back to clearer, healthier, even-colored skin.
