Many customer ask, “Well what can I do with BGLH Marketplace body butter?” I think the more apt question is, “What CAN’T you do!” Here’s a list to get you started;
1. As a daily lotion for 24 to 48 hour moisture
“I set out to find a true replacement for what I was previously using in my skin, Bath & Body Works. I see no more dry ashy skin and I have to wonder did I ever even use a skin moisturizer.” — MsKColes on Whipped Butters 2.5 oz Sample Pack
2. As a treatment for scars, stretch marks and keratosis pilaris
“I had this product less than a month, and I can’t front, I’m pretty lazy and don’t apply it consistently, but one stretch mark I focused on is gone and the others are fading. The one that disappeared makes me feel crazy like “was it even there?” It’s way better than any cocoa butter product I’ve bought from a store.” — Bryonna on Whipped Cocoa Butter
3. As a foot cream to soften cracks, ease peeling and help remove dead skin
4. As a hand cream to reduce wrinkles and strengthen nails leading to longer nail growth
5. As a leave in conditioner or rinse out conditioner for hair
“This is by far the best thing I have ever purchased.…for my HAIR! Yes! Believe it or not this is better than all of the other hair products I have ever tried (shea moisture, argan oil, kantu etc.)” — Esther P on Vanilla Whipped Shea Butter
6. As a styling cream and curl definer
“This morning was wash day for me so I have a pic of my hair still damp with just the Mocha Latte Blended Butter.” — Laura

7. As a scalp treatment to reduce dryness, itching and dandruff
“My scalp has suffered from dryness and dandruff for the LONGEST time since I was a kid. I’m 29 and still have problems. However, after discovering BGLH, my scalp has almost completely healed from dryness! I have noticed a significant difference just after my first time of applying the Mango Shea butter onto my scalp for about 30–60 minutes right before I washed my hair. This will forever be part of my hair washing routine!” — Jennifer Huang
8. For professional massage
Our body butters are used in many professional massage therapy practices because they melt and absorb upon contact with skin. Many massage therapists find this preferable to oils, which can slide on top of the skin.
“I’m a massage therapist & esthetician whose clients can’t get enough of “unconventional massage creams” (aka Lemon Cream). 😍” — Jaemi G.
9. For, um, intimate encounters 😜
For some couples, the scent of our body butters is as an aphrodisiac. We’ve gotten emailed reviews mentioning the use of our butters in, um, intimate situations. And we’ll just leave it at that…
“Okay this may get a tad sexual. But this was the first scent I ever bought and I use it on my whole body, breasts too. My boyfriend, who is a boob man, could not stop smelling them. He said it’s the most perfect scent lol. Keep doing what you do Ms Lady. Love it all.” — Sade on Ice Cream Blended Butter
10. To heal tattoos during the peeling stage
“I had recently gotten a new tattoo and once it was in the peeling stage I started using one of the butters on it. It was like a dream, it made the tattoo soft and supple and really brought out the colors. A few days ago I ran into the tattoo artist and he looked at the tat and asked me what I was using on it, I told him and he said it looked really good and for me to keep using the butters.” — Melanie G.

11. To heal severe sunburn
“I just wanted to share my unbelievable results with you! I got badly sunburned on my shoulder on 6/27/2021. I used Rose Blended Butter, Vanilla Whipped Shea Butter, and Lavender Whipped Shea Butter interchangeably twice a day since then and my burn is gone! There is a small scar there but I am certain a few more days of use and that will be gone too! I am in awe of your products and just couldn’t believe how it healed my burn! These are my results after only three weeks!” — Lauren J.

12. To flatten keloids and post-surgery scars
“I had a tummy tuck and decided to start using the Orange Creamsicle Whipped Shea Butter on my scar once my stitches dissolved. As an African American woman, I am prone to darkening and keloids. This product has worked WONDERS in lightening and flattening my scar. It goes on smooth so I don’t have to apply much pressure to this sensitive area.” — Sharese
13. As a moisturizer for cancer survivors
Many cancer survivors are extremely mindful of what they put on their body, and rightfully so! Our butters have become an option they can rely on to be clean, safe and effective.
“I’m a cancer survivor and I began chronicling my journey and suggesting clean products for women like me. Your unscented products are perfect for chemo patients. Thank you for your amazing product!” — Marlena
14. As a makeup remover
15. To heal burns
“I burned myself cooking and instantly knew my butter would clear it up. The first picture shows how the product dried up the burn after only two weeks of use. After six weeks of consistent application morning and night, the burn was completely gone. Proof…it works, natural healing.” — Natalie D.

16. To protect hair against heat damage
“When I opened the container, the smell of lavender was very strong so I thought it would be good when I flat ironed my hair. Sure enough, I LOVED how well it held up to the heat and my hair smelled of lavender, instead of a flat iron. And the surprise I received was my hair did NOT revert. In this Texas heat, I didn’t think I’d get one day of flat iron goodness but its been this entire week. I’m so impressed.” — Ava on Lavender Whipped Shea Butter
17. To tighten loose skin
Shea butter increases skin elastacity and boosts collagen production, resulting in tighter skin.
“Are you aware that your whipped shea butters nourish the breasts? Well, at least, my “semi-aged” boobies were rejuvenated!! Honestly, even I couldn’t believe what I was literally seeing. No joke!!! I’m very serious. My magnificent feminine life nourishing organ was, how can I say this well, “slightly deflating.” LOL! A lot of people attribute aging to this occurrence. (Ha! ha!) But your creams have significantly made a difference. Thank you!” — Blanch
How do you use body butter? What would you add to the list?

Is the cream ok for daily facial use?
The oils and raw butters are better for facial use than the whipped butters. The whipped butters contain coconut oil and cocoa butter, which can clog pores.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the unscented body butter. My skin is so soft since I have been using the shea butter, and I have also used it on my hair. I could see me becoming a Shea Butter Junkie.
My only question is, can you make a butter with JUST Sandalwood smell? It reminds me of my husband who is deceased.
I’m sorry to hear about the passing of your husband. 💗 We currently don’t have plans to do just sandalwood, at least not for body butter. But we are expanding into other categories and could do a ‘just sandalwood’ scent for some of our upcoming products 🙂
I love your body butters! I prefer some scents over others, but I love the quality and pricing, as well as how well they melt into the skin. I just had to mention how they cleared up my son’s prickly heat rash within HOURS!!! I was shocked! I wish I had before and after pictures but I had no idea it would work so well or so quickly. He has eczema anyway so I use it on his skin after showers but he broke out in a heat rash when the air went out when he was at a sleepover. I also love supporting this business. I will forever be a customer.
I’m so happy to hear this!!!
