Our whipped body butters contain shea, cocoa and mango butter, which prevent water loss in skin (the science term for this is occlusive.) So it is necessary to apply them on top of damp skin to lock in moisture. When applied to damp skin our body butters keep skin dewy and moisturized for 12 to 48 hours.

But you can use body butter on dry skin too! It’s not just a moisturizer, it also softens and repairs skin. To relieve eczema, reduce stretch marks or scars or soften up rough areas, apply body butter directly to dry skin.
