There is an art to lotioning that many people (including me!) do not know. While I tend to lotion right out of the shower when my skin is damp, I didn’t realize that that’s actually the way you should ALWAYS do itΒ — on damp skin.
Shari Marchbein, a NY dermatologist, believes moisturizer should be applied within 60 seconds of cleansing to trapΒ hydration. As she said in a recentΒ New York Times article;
βIf you frost a dry cake, the cake is still dry. If you frost a moist cake, it stays moist.β

I’m lowkey embarrassed it took me 34 years to learn this. So I’m passing on the good word.
What about moisturizing during the day? I discussed this with anΒ esthetician friendΒ of mine and she recommends carrying a small body mist (or even just a spritz bottle of water!) to apply moisture to dry areas before lotioning.
Here are a few customers who figured this out way before I did…
“I love the way I feel, smell, and look after I slather it on straight outta the shower to lock in that precious moisture lol. This is my go-to and Iβm glowing every time I use it.” — Ashley onΒ Vanilla Whipped Shea Butter
“Amazing products!!! I use the butters every time I get out of the shower.” — Sabriya on Whipped Butters Sample Pack
“Best stuff ever to grace my skin!! I love how this whipped butter is not heavy and melts directly into my skin after a hot shower. It keeps my skin hydrated all day.” — Kenya on Mango Shea Blended Butter

I love the African soap and I love buying your Raw Shea Butter and Raw Mango Butter and you Raw Coco butters. I use them in my products that I make. I know that I can trust the products that I receive from you. You have some of the best products.
I loved your 3 year hair growth pictures on Pinterest. Is it your products that you used to grow your hair so pretty and long?
Would you start selling essential oils like lavender, jojoba and rosemary?
