Essence Magazine is kicking off the Month of May with some of the biggest names in Hollywood on the cover. Issa Rae, Mara Brock Akil, Debbie Allen, Shonda Rhimes and Ava Duvernay all shine so bright in their all-white ensembles. Looking great ladies!

None other than Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz amazingly hip daughter, Zoe Kravitz! Kravitz takes on the May cover of Marie Claire magazine in a super cool floral embroidered jacket. Kravitz also stars in the upcoming Sundance-lauded film, Dope. Check out the trailer below:

Essence cover is beautiful.and it’s freaky how much Zoe looks just like her mom & dad!!a perfect blend of them.
Every time I see Zoe Kravitz I’m reminded of how old I am…I’m like, “I was at your mama’s BABY SHOWER (in my head)…how can you be showing cleavage on the cover of Marie Claire? How can you be showing cleavage PERIOD??” lol
Dope looks like it might be good…as a black geek/nerd myself I always like to see my tribe… 🙂
As for the Essence cover, all I have to say is “Black women doing the damn THANG!”
Dope looks interesting… I’m unsure about it, but a little curious. Looks like black 30 minutes or less, and I loved that, so I might check it out.
