What do I do with it?
Crack it open and rub it on any part of your skin that feels dry. It is all-natural and food-grade so it’s safe anywhere — lips, hair and beard included!
Okay, I just applied it and it’s is incredible! What’s in it!?
Shea, cocoa and/or mango butter, combined with coconut oil and almond oil scented with essential oil. That’s it!
What exactly are shea, cocoa and mango butter?
Butters extracted from the nut of the African shea tree, cocoa bean and mango seed respectively. For centuries they’ve been used in West African, Indian, Caribbean and Latin American cultures to heal and smooth skin. They are some of the most powerful natural moisturizers in the world due to their high emollient, anti-inflammatory and humectant properties.
But why do these butters smell so good?!
That would be the essential oil (oils extracted from plants.) We don’t use fragrance oils or artificial scents in our butters.
So what’s the significance of them being ‘whipped’?
Raw shea, cocoa and mango butter can be hard to spread because of their dense consistency. We whip the butters in commercial grade mixers to introduce air (kind of like whipped cream.) This is what gives them their softness, spreadability and absorbency.
