Back in March 2014 actress Countess Vaughn went public with her scalp infection struggle. The spunky actress revealed on The Doctors that she suffered discoloration, peeling of the skin and hair loss from an allergic reaction to wig glue. You can watch her talk about it here.
Now Vaughn is hitting the re-set button with a big chop that is absolutely gorgeous. She posted the following picture to her Instagram account with the caption;
“I know I’m cute with hair or without it *lips emoji*”

Reaction has been positive. The photo is among her most liked, and effusive fans are flooding the comment section.

Looking good Countess. We love it!

I suffered badly from scalp infections too! Even when I stopped using wigs, weaves and braids, the scalp infection and the hair loss from the infections continued.
Thank goodness for TLC Naturals Scalp Therapy hair products, which I found on Etsy and are made by a UK based naturalista.
Scalp infection, dermatitis all disappeared within a week and the products also made my hair really fast too.
Ditch the weaves, ladies. Just do it
I like it. She looks beautiful.
I love it. Hair doesn’t make you, with or without it you’re still going to be the same person
Countess has a gorgeous face! Hope she shares her hair journey.
She looks way better, hopefully she’ll stop wearing wigs/weaves altogether
You know what they say, “When you have the face you don’t need the hair”. Beautiful..
Looks good on her
She looks 10 years younger.
Beautiful!!!!
Glad she’s ditched the wigs and accepting her own hair. It looks adorable. She has such a cute face.
The gag is was there anything left to be “chopped” in the first place??
No wait, the gag is that we can’t gag YOU for diarrhea of the mouth!
The gag is you got gagged by your own gag. Bye girl.
I suffered with scalp infections for a miserable year. I did some research and came across Indian herbs or Ayurveda treatment. It was so simple to apply as a paste and I gained immediate comfort, scalp felt calm for the first time and the itch left completely after the second wash. I wish everyone would consider Ayurveda, it’s au naturale, or some form of herbs for balanced health. Plus the herbs were really cheap (in powder form) and my natural hair and scalp is always healthy to the max with plenty of fast growth.
I don’t know that Ayurvedic treatments are that uncommon. Especially henna because of Curly Nikki. I’ve been using powders for a long time. Several companies like afroveda and Keraveda sell infused products I have ordered. I also using Ayurvedic skin treatments.
She’s super cute!
