I’m not sure if she’s aware of it, but Sage Steele is quickly filling the shoes Stacey Dash was forced to leave when she was unceremoniously dumped by Fox News last week.
After Donald Trump enacted a ban on nationals from seven majority-Muslim countries — including children, students, high-skill professionals and legal US residents with green cards — protests erupted at airports all over the country.
Stories coming out from those detained are horrific, including a 5 year-old who was handcuffed and detained for 4 hours, a Somali woman who was detained for 20 hours with her two children without food or water, or a student who is quitting his masters program to be with his wife who is being denied entry back in the US.
And yet, Sage Steele’s major concern is for those who had canceled flights, or had to walk a bit longer to reach their gate. She posted a screenshot of an airport protest with the caption;
“So THIS is why thousands of us dragged luggage nearly 2 miles to get to LAX, but still missed our flights. Fortunately, a 7 hour wait for the next flight to Houston won’t affect me that much, but my heart sank for the elderly and parents with small children who did their best to walk all that way but had no chance of making their flights. I love witnessing people exercise their right to protest! But it saddened me to see the joy on their faces knowing that they were successful in disrupting so many people’s travel plans. Yes, immigrants were affected by this as well. Brilliant. ??”

Perhaps we should not be surprised. After all, this is the woman who said white people (including her husband) should be applauded for finding it in the goodness of their heart to marry black people.
Needless to say folks on social media were quick to remind Steele that she is able to exist freely in this country as a black women (although this freedom is most definitely under threat) because of ‘inconvenient’ protests such as these.

Love those Twitter responses. She seems out of touch and not aware of our history. Pray for her y’all.
I can’t stand this woman. Honestly I feel like she tries her hardest to agree with white views and ignore the trials of people of color( esspially black people) because she’s trying to over compensate for the fact that she doesn’t look biracial at all and just looks like a black woman. It’s sad, it just seems like she is always trying to go out of her way to be problematic or to be seen as the “good black person”. Wow disappointing Sage.
** especially black people
when she gets banned for being black she will eat those words..
Sage! Sage! Sage! smh
