Bayleigh Dayton made history on September 25 when she was crowned Miss Missouri USA — the first black woman to fill the role. While the Miss Missouri America pageant has selected African American winners, the Miss Missouri USA pageant has not.

She graduated from Baylor University in 2014 with a degree in Business Administration.

This is her second time entering the Miss Missouri competition. In October 2015 she finished as first runner up, Miss Congeniality and won the evening gown competition.

She isn’t the first Black Miss Missouri. The first black Miss Missouri is Debbye Turner who when on to become Miss America.
You do understand that Miss America and Miss USA are two different pageants right…or maybe not lol. Reading is fundamental! ; )
Wrong System. Miss USA and Miss America are two totally different pageant systems.
