Many of you wanted to know how Laila (today’s style icon feature) achieved her gorgeous curly fro. Here’s the video tutorial! I love this style, particularly the fact that it could work on a variety of textures and lengths. What do you think ladies? Would you rock this look?

  1. Hey !! love this video, so informative. I’m making my transition this weekend 🙂 BUT I wanted to know what do you do to your hair at night. I’ve heard of the pineapple but are you suppose to re twist your back every other day to preserve the syle or what do you do?

  2. Could I ask what the hair products are? I know there was a leave-in-conditioner but it seems like I’m missing some of the products! 🙁

  3. My hair is naturally curly and a little dry, so a leave-in spray is practically a necessity. Shielo Antioxidant Leave in Spray was the first leave-in spray I ever had good results with. I’ve tried many other brands from stores and salons, but none so far have given as much non-greasy shine, plus moderate frizz control, as the Shielo Leave-In Spray. It’s very light, so you can use a little or a lot depending on your hair, and it doesn’t leave a “waxy” feeling like some other leave-in’s can. I know some people with kind of oily hair who don’t like this product, but it’s fantastic for my hair type!

  4. LOVEEEE this look! I will try it as my hair gets longer. I am also interested on how she did the color!

  5. I might try it with larger parts, and just dry it in knots, rather than with rollers…looks cool!

    1. Yes you can…well my hair is medium length and I do this all of the time. Curls are just tighter.

    2. I did this transitioning…….. i had short hair and it worked for me, I just used smaller rod curlers (yellow?)

  6. Super Cute!!! and very simple definately will try this style my only thing is the drying process because I hate to sit under the dryer 🙁

    1. I do this to may hair all of the time, but sometimes I just go to sleep without the fryer and I still get the same results.
