The controversy of the week for our President-elect stars the cast of Hamilton, the hit broadway musical. Yes, you read that correctly. Apparently, Vice President-elect Mike Pence attended a performance of the musical on Friday night, and after being booed by the crowd, the cast had some carefully crafted words for him. Brandon Victor Dixon, the actor who plays Vice President Aaron Burr in the musical, stated:
Vice President-elect Pence, we welcome you and we truly thank you for joining us here at ‘Hamilton: An American Musical.’ We really do. We, sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and work on behalf of all of us. All of us.
Check out the video below.
As you can see, the cast was incredibly respectful, and even encouraged the crowd not to boo Pence.

Subtle, but strong words. One thing is for sure, if the US President-elect thinks what the cast of Hamilton did is harassment and rude, it’s going to be a very long four years.

Ava delivered several backhands on that one. Way to go Ava!
This, coming from Trump? I’m telling you these white people really have a serious superiority complex. They’re delusional and racist.
The cast wasn’t rude and encouraged the crowd nit to boo Mr.Pence. They spoke their minds in a professional and non-volatile way. These are real concerns and not everyone, especially in White House, will like it or agree with what was expressed….obviously!
