How many of you have already put away your summer lipsticks? Yea, me neither. I don’t necessarily believe in wearing certain shades for certain seasons, but I love it when all of the new collections come out for fall and seeing all the makeup looks using sultry colors with pumpkins and sweaters. These lipsticks are everything that make fall wonderful, so exfoliate those lips and check ’em out. Also, FYI, I have lipsticks from all of the brands listed (with the exception of gloss from The Lip Bar) and approve of their formulas.
Beauty Bakerie Raspberry Tiramisu (Black‐Owned), $20: Beauty Bakerie makes some of the longest lasting lipsticks on the market. Seriously, I think I wore one for nine hours AND slept in it. Raspberry Tiramisu is the perfect alternative for those who don’t want to go full‐on vamp with a super dark shade.
Nine Three Beauty Quinn (Black‐Owned), $9: Nine Three is definitely one of my favorite indie brands, and I love the formula of their satin lipsticks. Even though they transfer, they still wear for a long time and fade nicely. You’ll find yourself picking up this dark red frequently for the color and the comfort.

#selfiesunday featuring @juviasplace Sahara and Zulu palettes for this yellow eye look. Lips are Liquid Satin Lip Color in Quinn by @ninethreebeauty — The highlight is an @artistcouture #couturecocktail if LeBronze James and Sugar Daddy. Caution, might need shades to look directly at that glow! Coloured Raine Suede (Black‐Owned), $17: You know that this list couldn’t go down without me shouting out Coloured Raine! Their matte lipsticks are one of my go‐to formulas for a night out because I don’t have to worry about half my lipstick being on my face after I eat wings. Suede is a cult favorite as well — it changes with your skin tone and looks amazing on everyone I’ve seen wear it.
Dose of Colors Cork and Chocolate Wasted, $18: If you haven’t tried Dose of Colors yet, this is the perfect opportunity! I love combining lip colors to make my shade darker, which is a trick you can use to “winterize” your summer shades. A warm medium and dark brown together is a definite win for a day or night look.
OCC Hex, $15: Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics was one of the first brands to release liquid lipsticks, and their shade range is extensive. With their limited fall collection, Season of the Witch, you’ll have an urge to visit the pumpkin patch in no time. These lippies are creamy and moisturizing, drying down to a pigmented satin finish. The peppermint oil in the formula will give your lips a nice, cool sensation as well. I love OCC lipsticks — they’re always on sale at Ricky’s NYC!
The Lip Bar Vixen Gloss (Black‐Owned), $14: Matte lips aren’t your thing? The Lip Bar just released new glosses for the season. I haven’t tried these yet, but they look super pigmented and smooth. It’s getting colder outside, so moisture is a must. I started going back to gloss more during summer, and I’m not looking back!
Lipland Girl Code, $18.99: Fall is the perfect time to break out your vampy lipsticks! This deep purple shade will complement your pumpkin spice latte beautifully, and won’t even get on your coffee cup. I really like Lipland’s formula too — it’s very long wear and comfortable.
Black Moon Cosmetics Hazel, $18: I never thought that I would be telling you all to get an olive green lipstick, but oddly, it works. This gorgeous shade reminds me of a haunted hay ride! Black Moon lipsticks are also transfer proof.

Turns out I was suppose to be wearing Olive lipstick this whole time. #Viseart Editorial #ArdellLashes Wispie #FentyBeauty Pro Filt’r Foundation 350 + Hu$tla Baby Killawatt #UrbanDecay Troublemaker Mascara
Bite Beauty Whiskey, $26: Whiskey is everything that I feel like on a cool fall evening. The shade is a dark red brown that it’s almost black, and it has just the right amount of sheen. These are cream lipsticks, so they will transfer, but the formula is so moisturizing.
MYOB Cosmetics Besos (Black‐Owned), $19.50: As far as I’m concerned, a good red is always in season. MYOB (which stands for Mind Your Own Beauty) lipsticks are transfer and mostly smudge proof (you have to rub fairly hard). This red will stay on throughout the night at holiday parties!
