In a brief DM interview with NiemanLab, The Shade Room owner, Angie Nwandu confirmed the page was removed on Monday, but couldn’t pinpoint what violation occured:

I monitor the page frequently and nothing was posted that violated any rules to my knowledge,” she wrote in a DM. “We have been targeted on FB and have been receiving numerous reports over things that don’t violate the terms. The amount of reports have been excessive.”

But Tammy Sodomizer continues to bash a specific group which is in violation yet his page lives on.

Seriously? I complained about a group that was literally calling for the death of the young man who recorded the murder of Walter Scott and all Facebook did was tell them from refraining from using the young man’s picture. WTF “community standards” are they upholding?

Sorry, but The shade room is a page to make fun and bullying people, it ad nothing positive to the black community.

That’s not true. Though it is a celebrity gossip page. It still post a lot about what’s going on in the world.

Stop begging them for their things. How about moving the shade room to a black social network like proudli.com.…there problem solved.

The rules on Facebook are obscure at best. There are no hard fast guidelines for users. Even their warnings are ubiquitous. They should just be up front.
