Dark skinned women of color often scoff at the idea of wearing blush. When we think of blush many of us conjure up images of bright pinks and reds which don’t exactly jive with our natural color palette. However, there are many blushes that work well with our complexion. Here are a few of our top picks:
This is a gorgeous reddish-orange that provides the perfect amount of warmth to the to the cheeks.
This is the perfect berry red blush. It only cost about $5 at your local drugstores, but don’t let the price tag fool you. It packs a mean punch so you only need a little bit to go a long way.
This is a fan favorite. This burnt-orange shade suits women of color of all skin tones.

I’m sorry, but make-up caked up like theirs is so gross close-up.
Their aim is to do full face, professional makeup looks that you usually see people wear on special occasions or when they get dressed up. It’s just a way for the gurus to show off their makeup application skills. It’s not like it’s meant to be an everyday look. I don’t agree the closeups are gross, maybe you aren’t used to it.
It just looks overdone. I see this everyday lol. My best friend does her make-up this way. Almost ALL women (except those who can’t afford or care to wear make-up) look the same with the cake on. I’m just a woman who sees true beauty with just a TAD bit of make-up. Just lipstick, cleaned up eyebrows, and clear skin. That’s amazing to me (: to each their own, yes?
I still don’t like it. It’s too heavy. But, to each her own
Black radiance blush in toasted almond is also a great one
