Sure, everyone is familiar with the world-famous New York Fashion Week as well as fashion weeks in Paris, London and other parts of the world. You my not know about Ankara Fashion Week, founded two years ago, and exclusively highlighting African Wax Print. The bright and bold fabrics have served as the backbone of West African apparel for centuries. The fashion week itself is the brainchild of AllthingsAnkara founder, Nikki Billie Jean (Nicolette Orji) and takes place in Miami, FL and Washington, D.C.

“All Things Ankara Fashion Week is a series of fashion events that showcases, highlights, and celebrates Ankara Print Fashion. It is used as an economic platform to highlight and introduce emerging and established Ankara Print inspired designers, and small businesses to the general public and untapped demographics. “
