Even though it was just to hawk some hair oil, video vixen Black Chyna, best known for being rapper Tyga’s baby’s mother, took to Instagram recently to show off her natural hair. She posted the above photos with the caption
For everyone that would like to know how I grow my hair so long and healthy I use @simplicityhairoil ! The full system Hair Oil , Shampoo and Conditioner ! Enjoy muah
Okay, well I don’t know if Simplicity Hair Oil is the only reason, but clearly her natural hair is full and beautiful.
The response online to the reveal has been positive, with commenters showing love for her natural hair and makeup-less face. We know that her tresses are likely headed back under a weave or wig as we speak, but here’s hoping the curls come out more often.
Ladies, what do you think?
She looks a lot like Lauren London.
Lauren London looks 1000000000x better than her.…
Why is she lying though…?
I hope no one in 2013 is dumb enough to believe ‘simplicity hair oil’ is the reason her hair comes to the middle of her back.
LOL, tell em! She’s lyin cause ‘simplicity hair oil’ is compensating her. Her post was a straight ad. lol! #CuteButSheAintSlick
Loving her hair. The fullness and color is thebomb.com. Can’t wait for my hair to get to her level.
I don’t know if she’s necessarily lying. She wouldn’t be the first person to attribute growth to what she’s putting on her hair rather than what she puts in her body. If that’s the case then she’s just misinformed about what makes hair grow vs. what helps to maintain that growth. With that said her hair looks nice. And if those products are working for her then great. It’s hard to find something that works.
She’s not my cup of tea, but kudos to her for being able to retain that length. Also she looks 100% better without all that clown makeup. OAN don’t get me started on the Simplicity Hair products..people acting like its God’s tears in a bottle
hahaha at “God’s tears in a bottle”
Great hair but it needs a trim IMO, this oil is ok nothing you couldn’t mix up on your own, she looks better this way less ghetto, I know she was a stripper I guess that’s where all the wigs etc. came from, she just seems so trashy to me pretty but no class
Stop throwing shade.. And stop passing judgement on someone because of her occupation.. She is a pretty girl either way.. Let her express herself the way she wants. if you dont like it dont lookbut please throwing shade is not cute.. FOR ANYONE… #IJS
BITCH SHUT YOUR CAPTIN SAVE A HOE ASS UP A STRIPPER IS A WOMAN WITH LOW OR NO MORALS STOP KISSING ASS BASIC HOE
it looks like you dont either hunny.. As for the basic comment, ummm yea you look pretty basic actin ratchet over a comment? try again please.. Usually people who call other ppl out on being basic normally are queen of the basics lol so there goes your crown now have several seats thank you 🙂
I was thinking along the same lines BrittB. She normally does look trashy, but then again if you decide to engage in lascivious behavior to earn a buck, have a baby out of wedlock with a celebrity, and are a narcissist with photos of yourself all over the web…trashy ghetto look works for that gig. It appears she may have moved on, and it’s a much better look. I’m beyond peeved when people get on that whole “don’t judge” tip. The truth of her reality has already passed judgment. If someone sees it and wants to point that out they can.… Read more »
who are you to judge off someone elses pass? Get over yourself boo you can quote bible just like i can but you are not God. So remember when you judging someone somebody is talking about you just the same. Treat people the way you want to be treated. Yea she did what she did but that’s on her.. You have to see God for yourself no one else can do it but you. You came in the world by yourself you are gonna die by yourself.. #RealNess
Hmmmm. That was some straight foolery. Yep, I just judged it as so! I don’t know where your assumptions are coming from, so I really wont dignify them with a complete response. You may want to review my comment again, or not. But I will say this regarding judgment… I don’t “quote” the bible, I use it as a reference guide to make a point and to battle the devil daily. I believe the bible is the word of truth. As a Christian I am to reprove & judge evil works based on the bible not my opinions. If you… Read more »
Yet you took time to fully respond? Exactly.. ignorance is bliss and you have an abundance of it hun. So yea you have a merry christmas.. God Bless
So are you a virgin? Did you wait Mrs. Christian?
Blac Chyna is a business woman at the end of the day. I’m happy for her success. She’s proving a lot of stereotypes wrong. I like how people judge someone based off of what they do in PUBLIC, but the real test is what are these people doing in private? hmm.
Okay what’s with the snippy comments ?! Her hair looks great!! Simple as that. I had no idea her hair was so long.
What you mean snippy comments? The end of the article question is what do you think ladies? I thought I was gonna open this up and see a black woman rocking her naps in a video. Kinds dissapointed:(
the what do you think was in reference to the hair not her life choices yet many commenters decided to make comments towards how she chose to make her money.
I’ve only seen one comment regarding her chosen lifestyle though? But you’re right it’s completely unnecessary in this article. I think people are hating more on the product “ad” than anything.
There was only 1 comment about her lifestyle.
When a person wear there hair natural, doesn’t mean it have to be curly! Wearing your hair natural is all about having health hair. A lot of naturals feel if it ain’t curly, it ain’t natural and it’s wrong to think that way.
ok…well I guess we are redefining NATURAL everyday.
Soon there will be women in quick weaves walking around talking about “Its natural because its human hair.”
smh.…
For real tho! Good one.
That has nothing to do with being natural it’s what’s under the weave.. A lot of naturals wear wigs and weaves to protect their hair.. Quick weaves no but wigs and sew ins yes cause the braids under the weave is proctection… when you know better you do better.. Natural is just being true to who you are period.. You dk what someone elses truth is.. If she can afford the virgin let her rock it.. Maybe it’s how she is feeling.. If she wants to wear her natural then let her..
Really? Personal truths? This is not therapy or a group session. If being “Natural is just being true to who you are period” then how does wearing fake hair over your real hair constitute being TRUE to you. Natural hair is not a state of mind; it is a very tangible thing and it begins with wearing you own natural hair.
weaves and wigs are protective styles.… So again learn your facts… I am natural and also a stylist. Plenty of weavers are natural.. you cant tell someone what to do with their hair.. if you like it yea or no but all the extra stuff is crazy…
there’s nothing wrong with a weave but the “natural” movement would be pointless if every “natural” wore a weave over her natural hair all the year long. no one is telling no one what to do with their hair. if you want a weave get a weave and keep it moving. stop trying to shame people because they believe being natural means wearing your own hair. if we went by your opinion then all black women are natural including those who relax their hair.
we can support each other without distorting the meaning of the natural movement.
Dont say i am distorting anything when you clearly didnt read what i said. I said a lot of them do wear weave and wigs. The whole natural movement i am apart of it. Relaxed hair is relaxed hair. and Natural hair is natural. Like i said i dont have to shame anyone so your comment was pointless to reply because you didnt even read what i said correctly.. thank you
Lol.
um, who is she? and who is Tyga?…I see nothing special about her hair…looks ok
but then again we dont know other icons, but we still appreciate the hair.
Anybody can retain length if you are wearing weaves 24/7 365 days outta the year. That’s what I did. I had a short t‑boz cut. Thinking I looked like TLC but more like EBT. I didn’t like it so I immediately start wearing fullhead weaves. I kept fullhead weaves in my head for 2 years non-stop and by that time my hair was almost to the middle of my back. Just wear fullhead weaves for a few years and watch how much length you can retain. On that note I need to start putting mines back in because I’ve been… Read more »
I think proper hair care under a weave should help contribute as well 😉
They thought this chick was gonna sell us on this junk
Yea I’m done
simplicity hair oil.…for simple-minded women who believe anything a ‘famous’ person says.
And another thing, women lets not hate on another’s hair accomplishments. I read these comments sometimes and I just smh at them. A woman can have long, full, beautiful hair and it could have one streak of highlights in it and everyone will jump at that little thing and say how she isn’t natural or some bs like that. Everyone has their own definition of natural. It might means to some that they are wearing their OWN HAIR. While to others it might mean no chemicals and to others it might mean their wig or weave is a natural texture.… Read more »
Wow… Y’all tripping on this site. Her hair is nice. Nuff said. Peace Sistas.
Y’all tripping? Who is Y’all? Most comments here are totally positive. Why are people here commenting with “lets not hate on another’s hair accomplishments”, “stop with the shade” etc. when most comments here are saying she has nice hair/nice features. The shade comes because people dont believe in the product she is promoting, thats all.
No the shade comes from people talkin about everything but her hair..
Who do you mean with people? Most comments here are totally positive, the most shade is towards the ad. Maybe a handful are not. But you cant generalize people/comments, because of a minority of comments here. You just trying to start something with “people” and “y’all”, when there are just a few who didnt write nice comments.
First of all if it was not at you then why get offended. Secondly if you had read comments before mine you would have seen the shade.. So i suggest you get from under my post trying to comment at me before you read all the comments fully.. I said what i said aand yes i said ppl.. and so what… what can you do nun but comment again? oh ok i dont have to start i simply stated facts.. but dont be mad“KEEP CALM” if the post is not at you.. why comment? thank you
Karrueche JUST posted the same product(ad) on her IG.
Coincidence? I don’t think so.
To all you shade throwers #StopIt.. Like they asked about her hair.. Why are you guys hating on the makeup and lifestyle she chooses? Is it because some cant afford mac? Is it because she has a nice body(paid for or not)? yall needa calm down the shade so damn dark under these comments i cant see.. You talkin about she a stripper oh well.. You dk what your friends, mom, cousins, aunts, do in their spare time.. And some of you may even have thought about doin it your damn selves.. She made a living out of it and… Read more »
Idk why there is so many comments about people “hating”… yes, lots and LOTS of shade is being thrown but, if that’s there opinion ( which is not 100% necessary) than so be it. I love Blac Chyna and her hair and I think she looks extremely beautiful naturally. I wish she’d keep it like that more often and start a natural hair trend within the celebrity and socialite community.
There is shade being throwed.. And people can do what they want including wear their hair the way they want. Just because they are not wearing their natural hair doesnt mean they are not natural. Weaves and wigs are considered a protective style… For all the naturals who don’t know.. but want to pass judgement she just posted a pic of her natural hair who’s to say she isnt starting a trend that was already their.. Ppl dont always do what celebrities do.. They do what they see friends and family do.. Naturals are everywhere but just because you’re not… Read more »
Beneficial info and excellent degisn you got here! I want to thank you for sharing your ideas and putting the time into the stuff you publish! Great work!
I read the ingredients in the Simplicity Hair Oil, and it seems basic(i.e. I can create it in the comfort of my own kitchen) and overpriced. Everybody wants to jump on the Natural marketing craze *yawns*
Her her looks beautiful … Healthy hair comes from inside , with a boost from topical treatments like what she’s using … If it works for her then great !!! .… Clearly the “what do you think ladies part” was referring to her hair not her occupation, body parts or who she is smh lol
She is a beautiful woman and so is her hair. Let’s uplift one another and stop all the pettiness.
beautiful? really?
Yes beautiful dear, is she not because her nose is not straight and her lips aren’t thin? Let’s not turn this into a whole different topic ???? smh
Y’all Irk
WOW … her hair is gorgeous and it MAY just be the oil dang castor oil took me from TWA to back length in a year LOL… THIS is a hair blog…WHAT and WHO she does is her business.. let’s embrace each other sisters ALL OF US… NOW is the time …
Thank You!
This is not impressive. My hair is this length and I get questioned every other day if my hair is real. Which is a shame. Why just because a black female has long hair, they need to be praised? This should tell you something. This is how us black females hair is suppose to look. Thick & Healthy. I wish more sistas cared more for our natural hair.
the name of this website is “Black Girl LONG Hair”.
Well not everyone’s hair easily grows to that length.. it takes real dedication and healthy hair practices to get your hair to that length. We have this stigma that black women’s hair usually doesn’t grow this long because we’ve spent years and years putting in chemicals and straightening our hair and practicing other bad habits that have broke our hair off, so it’s been a longggg time since we’ve seen the real potential our hair has to grow.. That’s why its so “impressive”. You can’t tell me that a black woman can go around treating her hair however she wants… Read more »
Are you being serious? Cut it out. Smile. 😀
Oh, trust me I was smiling when writing this.… It wasn’t an angry post. I’m always a happy person. Just went on a little rant about the glory of HEALTHY hair and celebrating EVERYONE’S hair regardless of length or texture…
Judging by the indentation, she was referring to the original comment
If this story did nothing else it showed how one person retained length by wearing protective styles wigs/weaves.
Lol pretty much.
Our hair is so easily prone to breakage, the kinks in our hair can prevent us from having long hair due to its lack of accepting moisture and us vigorously combing through it. Not everyone can grow it that long, not everyone has the time and energy to care for natural hair. But under the wigs and weaves that black chyna has, she still manages her hair and grows that shit long and beautiful. It’s definitely not an everyday occurance no matter how very possible it is. So kudos to her, ima have her as my hair inspiration now. She… Read more »
-46 dislikes. That’s cute. I was not trying to be rude in my post…just honest in how I feel. You do not have to like it…because it’s called an opinion. I have been natural for years, to straighten my hair I get a Dominican blowout. If the girl has nice hair, she has nice hair. BUT I feel as though our hair is suppose to look like this, thick and healthy. I’m not necessarily talking about the length, because everyone hair grows differently. If most of us black women would cut out the perms we (in due time) can have… Read more »
Black women dont get perms.. they get relaxers.. Perms take you from straight to curly and black hair is not strong enough for a perom the solution will cause the hair to break immediatley.
I don’t believe that this post is about “praising” her because her hair is long, but rather just taking the time out to show that a woman who is in the public eye and is often times seen rocking a wig can also have a head full of healthy hair. (opposed to some others we have seen in the past — Naomi Campbell) But, even if the post was intended to praise her glorious mane, it shouldnt matter. Whats wrong with uplift and praise amongst the black community? We MUST do better.
preach!! say that again sista. WE MUST DO BETTER.
Wow so cute! I love the blonde in her hair!
her hair is beautiful and she is a naturally pretty girl
I agree w/Kiandra. I think this wasn’t about praising the length of her hair but more so the fact that it’s natural and healthy- and she has obtained length. It dispells the “myth” that African American women can’t naturally grow their hair long. I don’t even know who this female is b/c I’m not hip to videos these days however I love the fact that she is natural and obviously has been for a while and I’m praising her for that.
Nice hair. She sort of resembles Lauren London.
Beautiful girl. Beautiful head of hair…and I smell an endorsement deal looming…Kim K. taught her well…
She is really pretty without the pounds of makeup. Her hair also looks so healthy. She and Nicki Minaj are actually the main reasons why I was inspired to temporarily sport wigs as a protective style due to the hair growth they experienced. Kinda funny where you find inspiration lol
I’m in search of a cute wig as we speak!
try some of the online sites — extensive selection and great prices…

WOW!!! And here I thought based on the name of this website and the title of this article that the comments here would be about HAIR! Silly me! Guess I was wrong. But hey to each his own I suppose.
She’s lying about that damn oil! Lol. Get your money, girl! Gorgeous hair. I especially love it in first pic! And she actually showed her FACE *cough* Nicki *cough*
I am new to this hair typing system. Can someone please tell me what hair type my hair looks like? Pleeease

Kinda irrelevant but a 3c I guess?? O.o
Thanks for responding. I just wanted to know I thought I was more 4a-4b
Her hair is beautiful. I especially like the picture at the top left with her curly hair. Why would anyone hide something so beautiful behind a weave? I have no idea.
Well it’s nice to see she was putting time and effort in growing hair too, not
Just Buttock.
She is so gorgeous without makeup, and her hair is beautiful too. Go girl.
I just wanted to know if anyone has tried this oil… But from the comments no one is concerned about the oil lol 🙁
Going natural for me has completely been a journey to self-acceptance. My hair was long when I was relaxed and it’s long now. Some people are impressed with my hair growth and often wonder why I’ve gotten so much growth in so little time. They question me about regimen and are disappointed when they find no “secret to my growth”. Healthy hair practices aside, my hair length, texture, and density is genetic and therefore predominantly outside of my control. I get for some women going natural and adopting healthy hair practices has allowed them to grow hair to lengths that… Read more »
not sure who any of these people are, but… yeayyy! hair! lol I’m loving the fullness! also a nice trim would serve her well… but overall, lovely

ceeceee WOWWWW calm down. If a comment primes you to become so negative, maybe you shouldn’t read the comments. WOWW
your hair is like mine except i don’t get the afro and since the 4th grade my hair has been to my butt but i love the volume in your hair you have some pretty highlights my mom won’t let me get anyone i don’t know why
She is BEAUTIFUL!! I’m loving her hair, and her dimples are too cute!!
I find it strange that many want to make claim that Chyna is doing an endorsement ‚when she is only saying she uses simplicity oil. She believes that it helped her growth. Plus this site has plenty of articles on the everyday Woman who have stated that a product may have helped their hair reach length. Are they too looking for an endorsement deals? It seems to me that if the writer did not state her occupation or who she is connected to in her personal life those assumption would not be written. Chyna,if you reading I hope you are… Read more »

I think her ends look a little thin and it might be time for a trim… If you’re looking for a set of products to grow your natural hair out and keep it healthy, then check out Nutress Hair! Their products are the real deal for achieving and maintaining your hair!
Simplicity charges $45 for less than 2 oz of hair oil, first ingredient coconut oil? No wonder people complain that being natural costs too much. Have they never heard of Trader’s Joes?
I thought the same exact thing when I saw the price and ingredients. I thought that bottle was way too small for such a high price for things we could buy at a whole foods or trader joes or online or much less. That may work for her but for those that don’t have that much to put off on one product, there are many out there that provide the same benefits for much less. love her hair, it is gorgeous and the length that I want, but I’m cheap. I rather spend $45 for 5+ products all together, than… Read more »
I am the unicorn out of this group. I actually love seeing BLACK starlets rock their natural hair. I especially love seeing women who are dark like me, rock their natural hair. Gives me Hairspo and it reminds me that celebirties aren’t these golden statues bedazzled in diamonds and amazingly perfect straight long hair. They too are facing struggles with their hair, just as I am. They of course have more money and can buy people to take perfect care of their natural hair, but it gives me pride within myself that I am the one in charge of the care… Read more »
Beautiful hair!
I really like her in her natural look. She looks so fresh faced. It looks so much better than the heavy makeup and weaves she wears
aside from a much needed trim…beautiful hair!
I know she’s hawking a product, but I honestly think that leaving her hair alone from constant manipulation under weaves is what accounts for her major hair growth, because this is the first time most of us have seeen her hair. And on a side note, when I usually see her, she is someone I never thought was attractive, but now that I can actually see her FACE beyong the thick bangs, dimple piercings (why?), false lashes and heavy makeup, she is actually a really cute woman and looks much younger.

I love that she shows her natural hair from time to time but I can’t help but wonder why she always covers her hair line. This isnt the first time ive seen her post her natural hair. Someone said her hair is long because of her consistent protective styling but what if all the P.S.took a toll on her hairline. :/ I would hope not.
damnnn she has so much hair. beautiful tresses
Sorry, I was distracted. My stomach hurts when I hear that a woman is best known for whose child she birthed.
my stomach hurts from that hate…Jesus Christ.
Yes, that’s actually heartbreaking. I’ve never hear of either of them but I’m sure she’s far more than just an incubator. Wasn’t that the entire point of the women’s rights movement? Shame on you Black Girl Long Hair for having the chance to build this woman up & show that she has more to offer the world.
I wear protective hairstyles a lot as well, wigs, braids, etc. What makes me mad is when peopleact like you should be wearing your real hair out all the time so they can see it. Did you think maybe the reason her hair is so long is because the fake hair is taking all the damage for her. My hair is down my back also and the longer it gets the more i actually want to wear the protective styles. People with long natural hair dont owe it to others to ket them see it.
