Did you know that sea water and whipped butter are a perfect mix?
Sea water is a natural exfoliant. The salt in the water absorbs toxins in the skin, and also sloughs off dead skin. Sea water is also packed with minerals like magnesium, calcium and potassium that fight bacteria and skin infection and speed up the skin’s natural healing process. It’s why you feel so refreshed after taking a dip in the ocean.
Whipped butter is the perfect thing to put on your skin after a sea soak! It locks the moisture into your newly exfoliated skin and preserves the softness the sea water gives it. Plus, it also boosts the skin’s natural healing.
And I’m speaking from experience here. A little known fact, I’m an avid surfer!
The East Coast doesn’t always have the best waves, lol, but I try to get out once a week on my 6′ 4″ foamie. My skin always looks and feels its best in the summer time because of the continual exposure to sea water followed by whipped butter. While the dead skin on my feet (gross, I know… sorry!) accumulates in the winter time (although I keep it at bay with foot soaks followed by butter rubs), in the summer time my feet look baby smooth because of the power of sea water + whipped butter!
You don’t have to be a huge ocean person to get these benefits. If you’re vacationing at the beach, but don’t really like to swim, try sitting in the shallow waves up to your shoulders. Sit for at least 15 minutes, then follow up with a shower and a whipped butter rub down. I guarantee your skin will feel incredible!
If you’re headed to the beach this summer, take BGLH Marketplace with you! 😎
“Both the Whipped Cocoa and Cocoa Shea blew my expectations out of the water!! These products are luxurious and so moisturizing. I can feel a noticeable difference in my skin. I have also started to put this on my keratosis pilaris area (upper arm mostly) and it’s helped a lot.” — Kiran on Whipped Butters 2.5 oz Sample Pack
“This stuff is unreal. It’s incredibly light and fluffy, and absorbs well into your skin. It also smells exactly like hot chocolate.” — Cassie on Cocoa Shea Blended
