A vintage photo of Lauryn Hill and her son Zion
Was it just yesterday that I was in ninth grade smuggling a compact disc of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill into my very strict Catholic high school? Just kidding, I wasn’t cool enough to own that album, much less risk smuggling it. But I did watch it happen…
On that classic record, Hill sung passionately about the birth of her first child, Zion Marley. And now, 19 years later, Zion is a father.
Proud granddad Rohan Marley, posted the news to his Instagram account with a photo of Zion holding his newborn son.
JAH RASTAFARI MORNING ” In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack.
The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. ” ZEPHANIAH ” ” Unto Us a Child is Born ”

Beautiful and congratulations!
This just aged me and while I sing the song. Congratulations to all!!
WOW. Time needs to slow down a little.
Wow… Lauryn was my inspiration to go natural (waaaaay back before all the NHM hoopla of now came along!). My twists style was based on her two strand stylee. 🙂
