In what was either very inspirational or trolling at the highest level (possibly both) Lane Bryant put on a fashion show and posted video of it to their Instagram account on December 8, the night of the Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
It’s unclear whether the show was done solely to be recorded for social media, or if it was a standalone event.
Lane Bryant encouraged women to support with the tag #imnoangel. One video even features a model tossing off a pair of angel wings.
The Lane Bryant models are indeed gorgeous, but we’re still deciding whether this needs to be a thing.
Ladies, what are your thoughts?
I love this! All of the models were beautiful 🙂
I haven’t seen the show, but as long as the models show a healthy appearance- the same standards that VictoriasSecret’s models “Should” represent, then rock on. But just like we are tired of seeing unrealistic, unhealthy skinny looking women in magazines and on runways, we don’t need to celebrate obesity either.
It’s not about showing a healthy appearance, it’s about representing the average woman. The average woman (in America), IS overweight. Problem is, they’re so used to being “naturally thin” (no such thing, they just have a small frame or eat less/not enough) that they don’t actually exercise or eat well, and as a result they can’t even do… Read more »
These ladies are definitely beautiful.
Nice seeing sexy shown as not just for a size 4. I feel like massive attention is given on here to certain types of discrimination while others go almost ignored.
