Solange Knowles has just released her third footwear collection in collaboration with PUMA. The collection, appropriately titled, Word to the Woman, “celebrates females who innovate and redefine roles in all walks of life.”
Knowles served as art director and interviewer for the 14 women she included within the collection’s editorial. Over the next few weeks, we can expect to see videos of each of the women featured.
Here’s a small sample of the women featured in the project.

The shoes are currently available for purchase on the Saint Heron store which also will serve as a host of various goods and items that “commemorate the diversity and progression of black artistry.”
What do you think of Solange’s take on her latest PUMA collaboration?
I like the concept for the shoot..but I can’t help but be reminded of Adidas when I look at those shoes.
I might just hold off on buying new Adidas to support this—except the design of the shoe is so similar to what Adidas does. Nevertheless, these are very cool shots, very lovely.
So happy Puma brought back monochrome sneakers. They haven’t had ones I liked since their Limited Edition Easter collection. Too bad everyone thinks these are copies of the Adidas Supercolors. Still getting them. I love Solange’s perspective and creativity
