Introduce yourself!
E:
My name is Enocha. I currently bounce around from Coast to Coast. (Boston to LA) I am a singer/songwriter and blogger. Right now I am working on my debut album and running my online shop www.shoplocksandtrinkets.com ๐Ÿ™‚

What is your style philosophy?
E:
If it looks good on youโ€ฆ wear it.

How would you describe your sense of style?
E:
Simple, Edgy, Chic

What is the process of deciding what to wear in the morning?
E:
I donโ€™t like taking forever to find something to wear. I try to keep my closet comprised of neutrals and pieces that can pair easily with other styles so I can just get up and throw on whatever fits my mood for the day.

What are the three favorite things in your closet?
E:
The three things I am currently loving in my closet came from a recent eBay spree. Lace up thigh high boots by Tony Bianco, over the knee boots by Tahari and a hooded fur vest. I think Iโ€™m starting to have an eBay addictionโ€ฆ

What are some of your favorite shops/websites for clothes, shoes and accessories?
E:
Clothes: My favorite places to shop for clothes are All Saints, Asos.com, Zara, RiverIsland.com and Shopbop.com, and I love poking around thrift/vintage stores.

Jewelry: Lately I only go to antique/vintage stores for jewelry. Iโ€™m not a huge jewelry person, but I like to get good quality pieces that I can wear all the time.

Shoes: Iโ€™m sort of a shoe fanatic and have had to reign in it the last few years (I used to have over 100 pairs!). For shoes I like shopping the Saks/Barneys sales, Shopbop.com and eBay for designer shoes. For more affordable trendy shoes I go to Asos.com, Zara, NastyGal.com and I recently stumbled across an online shoe store called Fly Jane that has THE cutest shoes! http://www.shopflyjane.com

How long have you been natural?
E:
I have been natural for about 7 years.

How and why did you transition into natural hair?
E:
I let my hair grow out to a good length and got roller sets while I transitioned. Once it was at a certain length I felt comfortable to do the โ€œbig chopโ€ (I used to be very scared of having short hair in those days).

What is your signature hairstyle?
E:
Iโ€™ve been shaving the sides and wearing it straight. Iโ€™m in love with short hairstyles lately so in the past year I have played around with many different short hairstyles. Once it grows out a bit more I am looking forward to playing around with more natural hairstyles.

Describe your styling regimen over the course of the month.
E:
The beginning of last month I started doing flat twists a lot to try out a new style as I was growing my hair out. After washing I used Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in Conditioning Repair Cream and Schwarzkopf BC Bonacure Hair Therapy, then just twisted. After I cut it in a new style a couple of weeks ago, I started wearing it straight due to the horrible weather lately. My hair is very temperamental, and when Iโ€™m on the East Coast I have to do twists or bantu knots to keep my curls, but on the West Coast I can just wash it with leave in conditioner and my curls stay put.

I use Shea Moisture Moisture Retention Shampoo and the Extra-Moisture Detangler. I have also been making my own honey based leave-in conditioners the past few weeks, as the winter is really drying out my hair and isnโ€™t allowing it to curl as much. I always use Cantu Shea Butter and Schwarzkopf Hair Therapy before styling (whether itโ€™s straight or curly) and I use a dab of Blue Magic Coconut Oil Hair Conditioner for shine.

Tell us about your hair color?
E:
My hair color is honey blonde and I had it done by a professional at a salon in California. It loosened my curls more than I would have liked. I am currently growing it out so I can cut the ends and try a color that will keep my texture as close to normal as possible. (Any suggestions are welcome!)

Is there a blog/webpage where we can find you?
E:
My blog: http://locksandtrinkets.com.

Short hair does fit you and I must say you are killing the style with so much vibe and confidence. It is not embarrassing to see you down the street looking at what you got on. I will admit, I would stare but not blatanly. Go headโ€™ and keep working it. Thanks Bglh for updating me. Enocha is a unique, complimentary name. I like the way it sounds and it fits your personality.

A friend renemmecdod Candace, saying it was the best haircut sheโ€™d ever had. I was intrigued, and decided to make the treck from Ventura County (about 200 miles round trip) to find out for myself. From the moment I stepped into the salon, I knew this would be a great experience. Candace listened to what I wanted, assured me it would work out, then got busy. She understood my essenceโ€™ and how to enhance it with my hairstyle. She was done with the shampoo, cut and style in an hour, and I left looking 10 years younger. It is the… Read more »
