Looks nice but how is it any different from a regular wash and go?
I actually do my wash n goโs about 3 times a week. I love it too. My curls are too coily to try the pineapple method and wear for days so I actually rely on this method. I actually need to find a really good leave in conditioner thoughโฆ
A great Leave-in is Giovanni Direct Leave In for $7.99 or Tresemme Naturals Silicone Free with Avocado for about $3.50-$4.99 depending on where you live.
Hope this helps!
why is it called a wash n goโฆseems just as much work, time, and product as a twist out, i want it to be easy and GO
Yup! Iโve been thinking we need a new term to describe styles like these โ wash n go makes them sound more effortless than they really are. What could we call them instead?
(And of course, Alodiaโs hair is gorgeous. Love how BIG it is!)
Yeah, it stops being a wash n go once it gets longer than an inch or so. The salon I go to calls it a Finger Style.
I donโt understand why hair needs to be protected during the winter. I mean, I know hair grows more slowly during the winter. Shouldnโt this mean that Africans have really fast-growing hair, since they live in such a hot region? I think there was an article on here about how African hair only grows at a rate of 4 inches a year. Doesnโt make sense.
Luv my wash n go seems that my hair doesnโt like braid outs or twist out just curls and go this is my 4th time growing my hair out finally learning the WNG is whatโ up luv ur WNG boo

I LOVE her hair!
This is how I tend to do my wash and goโs except I donโt steam my hair (shame on me) and I use different shampoos and detangling conditioners. But, I also prefer to use Paul Mitchell โThe Conditionerโ leave-in because by far it is the best leave-in I have found. it leaves the hair soft and bouncy and the scent is very nice.
1. Her is is awesome! However where does the winter part come in? I canโt let my hair air dry in Chicago. 2. How does she put it up at night? Not to mention how does she re-fluff each day?
Thatโs was a lot of work, I need tips and how toโs for much shorter hair. Also less work!
Wash and go is my easiest style right now. I wash ..add leave in and eco styler and im out..it looks great..however I dont know if its the best thing to do in thd winter time. I attribute getting sick in jan with leaving the house with a wet head.

After being natural for a year Iโve noticed that my hair prefers wash n goโs. I would do twist outs, braid outs, Bantu knots and my hair just seemed dry even with daily water/oil spritz. I got my hair straightened and colored for my one year anniversary and that was a big no no. I got heat damage in the front and left side and after about two weeks I cut that mess out. Lesson learned. Since then Iโve been doing wash and goโs and my hair looks and feels the best it has during my whole natural journey. Iโve… Read more »
This is not a typical wash and go for type 3 hair type. My hair isnโt as long, but usually just getting in the shower with lots of conditioner, with a wide tooth comb is enough. Then run cold water on the hair to close cuticles. While the hair is dripping, put all products, from leave in conditioners, to oils, and serum in it, squeeze/wring hair over the sink, letting excess product and water out. Then blot with a tshirt to get more water out, or pin in a pineapple if you have time. No need to sit under a… Read more »
