Hair health begins with the internal โ the most important. What you put into your body reflects on the outside; especially important for most of us concerned with the beauty aspects of hair, skin, and nails.
Water
The amount of water you consume actually varies by person. I donโt stick to the โ8 glasses a dayโ rule because we are all different. You should drink a little less than half your body weight in ounces of water per day. If you exercise, you should add 16 oz to the total for every 45 minutes of strenuous activity. For every ounce of caffeinated beverage that you drink, you need to drink and additional 2 oz of water.
Fruits/ Vegetables
Try to consume fruits and veggies with a high water content; red-orange fruits and veggies, leafy greens, citrus & berries.
Vitamins/Minerals
Vitamin A, C, E, zinc, selenium, and omegaโ3 fatty acids. Omega-3s are very important. For vegetarians who donโt eat fish/fish oils, try nuts/oils like macadamia, walnuts & almonds.
Useful Supplements
Ladies, how do you nourish your hair from the inside?
* I drink at least 2 Liters of water daily
* I take Vitamins everyday that consist of Spurilina, Omega 3/6/9 Fatty Acids (Seed Blend), Fruits and Garden Veggies (Alive Whole Food Energizer Multi-Vitamin, Max Potency)
* I take Salmon/Fish Oil Daily (Carlsonโs)
* I try to be consistant with eating my fruits and veggies, but if not at least I know I already had some from my vitamins.
Ever since I went natural (7/11) and started eating healthier I have definitely noticed a difference in my skin and my hair.
Can this sentence be clarified, please?:
โYou should drink a little less than half your body weight in ounces of water per day.โ
Is that right because that seems like itโd be a lot of water to consume in a day.

Iโve always heard that you should divide how much you weigh into half, and thatโs how many ounces of water you should drink each day
Ex: 140 lbs/2 = 70 ounces of water (8 โ 8oz glasses and some change)

In addition to a multivitamin I take iron a few times during the week to address iron defiency. I also start each day with 20 oz of water,and drink about 72 oz throughout the day; more when I exercise.

I take a multivitamin, Flaxseed oil pills, fish oil, LโArginine, bโcomplex, and fiberโฆ I also drink 70 oz of water a day( a lil more than half my weight), I juice all my leafy greens, cucumber and add an apple and pear to the mix.. And I still make sure a eat a salad a day and make veggies to go with dinner..
since Iโve been eating a little better than usual and exercising and drinking a lot of water I have noticed my hair look and feel a little different
having lots of sudden hair loss hair becoms thin nd week. help
